Comments: Watching the game today, I realized that there is VAR in Iran. ![[smile]](https://cdn.websitetoolbox.com/images/boards/smilies/smile.gif "Smile - :)") I thought the ref did a good job on both penalty calls that used VAR. The first one did not look like a PK but the second one was. I think VAR in Iran allows the referee to cool down and not to do a knee-jerk reaction to what the huge crowd in Azadi is demanding.

Comments: What I like about Sepahan is that it is the only team in the league that has a strong midfield. The rest, including the red-blue focus on defense or offense. They choices and strategies for midfield also is based on that. today, both teams had their midfield just sure up the defense. Play making is something that is just not in our teams. Creativity in the midfield is nonexistant. Most IPL coaches just add numbers (from midfield) to attack or defense. This just results in overcrowding and does not work most of the time.

Comments: Agreed. Sepahan is the only team in the league who can score goals. Other teams have a hard time scoring and when they do, it’s usually due to mistakes of the other team!

Comments: I’m no expert but we could have had 4 penalties at this game. Calling a penalty at 95th minute that is questionable, at best, is not the wisest decision. Either way, a tie was fair in this game. Both sides sucked!
