We have to wait until the last day to see the actual permutation to find out who Iran plays, of course we can lose to UAE and then play Qatar in the 1/16.
Comments: Very unlucky for Korea, lol! I think Japan will win the cup! Among the third place teams that you listed, Oman is the toughest, IMO. Branki also has a chip on his shoulder with respect to Iran. so, that will be a tough game, if it happens.
Comments: I expected a tough game for Japan today and actually predicted a win for Iraq in the AFC contest! Japan will finish second in the group and if Korea wins their group they will meet in the first knock out round. The winner of that match will play Iran in the quarters if Iran wins it's group and the 1/16 match. If Iran wins the group they play the best 3rd place finisher from Groups A,B or F. Right now it looks like Syria but it could also be Oman, Thailand or Tajikistan depending on the remaining matches!
