Comments: Shahryar jAn, I only saw the last 15 minutes. And so, I am only talking about that period. I do feel Rashti's frustration. I recall a game between Germany and Austria that was even worse than the last 15 minutes of this game for the full 88 minutes of the game. Ref blew the whistle early. He had seen enough. The ball never crossed teh half line. I remember feeling so sad that the tie resulted in elimination of an algeria that had beaten Germany and was clearly better than Austria in the world cup. I felt the same way when I watched the last 15 minutes. The rest of the game sounds like it was a real one.

Comments: Very strange! Ref disallowed a perfect goal. Then Iran went to sleep mode. Let them score a goal. 13 minutes of extra time and just killing time by both sides. Everyone seemed to be going for the result.
Comments: Faramarz JAn, i don't think their behavior was shameful at all. They played valiantly and scored 5 beautiful goals, although 3 were pulled back. They were also penalized with a PK that was unfair, which they stopped. At the end, they thought that they may be destined to lose the game and became cautious. I am not sure I fault them for that. Also, Palestine may not be out yet, right? they have 4 points and may still qualify. It would have been interesting to see them ranked above UAE however :)

Comments: I saw the last bit of the game. Shameful finish to the game. If they are scared of UAE, how are they going to stand up against even Syria!? Mohebi's goal was good. I cannot believe it was disallowed! A huge shame that Palestine was eliminated as a result of this disgraceful finish.
