Comments: Zinsky , consistent with advance notification to the Americans of “harsh revenge “!
Comments: That is very odd if true. So America warns Iran of a terrorist threat while both sides are bombing each other in Iraq and Syria? Does this happen all the time or this was the first time they warned Iran? Do they warned them when Israel plans to kill scientists or military staff inside Iran? Do they warned them when they kill them outside Iran? I have always maintained that these two countries are in bed with each other. They only kill people when both sides agree. Even with that in mind, this is odd!
Comments: US warned Iran that ISIS-K was preparing attack ahead of deadly Kerman blasts, a US official says
Comments: 1st game in 3 days. AFC FINAL[edit]
Comments: lol, Your suggestion on how to arrange for Asian Cup tournament has a certain logic to it and makes sense, if your intention is to maximize quality of the games and teams. This is however completely opposite of where FIFA has been headed for the past 40 years. They want more teams involved and more games, more audience, more TV rights and basically more money. Look at the FIFA World Cup participation, that went from 16 teams (40 years ago) to 24 and then 32, and it will go up to 48 next time. Pretty soon, it will be 60 teams in the World Cup. In summary, your idea has merit, but not what the organizers have in mind. And frankly, having some other countries have a hope they can win a game in World Cup provides them some sense of happiness and national unity.
Comments: And finally my prediction is a very exciting and hard fought Iran-Iraq final
Comments: As far as Iran is concerned the Syria match is the one that GN should use the minimum effort needed from the starters to advance. This is because we only get 2 days of rest for the next match. As Ghodus said when you have Azmoun & Taremi combo you are already ahead 1-0 so he should finish the job in the first half and then rest the key players.
Comments: Traditionally East Asian teams (including AUS) have not won the title when the games are played in the Persian Gulf, the only time they did it was Japan in 2011 cup in Qatar. SO in my estimation, right now Iran, Qatar, Iraq and Saudi are the favorites to win the cup.
Comments: Here is my proposal to make the group play serious not just a bunch pf preparation matches: 1. Only the 6 group winners will get automatic entry in the knockout stage and get a bye in the round of 16. 2. The best 4 of the 2nd place teams play in the round of 16 and 2 winners will advance to the quarter finals. 3. The 8 remaining teams will be ranked 1 to 8 and the format of the playoffs will be like the NBA. #1 rank plays #8 rank #2 rank plays #7 rank etc.... And the same for the semis based on ranking. This way winning the group becomes paramount and all the group games become important, in other words as GN says every game will be like a final.
Comments: As I said the other day AFC totally ruined the group play with their dumb format of picking teams for the knockout stage. Winning the group became totally meaningless. Most teams did not want to win in the 3rd round ![]() Anyway here is the ranking of teams that made it : 1. Iran 2. Qatar 3. Iraq 4. Australia Saudi 6. Bahrain 7. Japan 8. Uzbekistan 9. Korea 10. UAE 11. Tahiland 12. Tajikistan 13. Jordan 14. Palestine 15. Syria 16. Indonesia
Comments: Here are my predictions:
Comments: It does look like he is rigging it. But I am going my own way Agha Faramarz. You are on a bubble and it will burst.
Comments: Is Zinsky rigging the contest. I am now two point closer to him. Guys you need to help me since the rest of you do not have a prayer.
Comments: There is no way to avoid BS. It will be part of life, everyone’s lives. We only have to learn to live with it and ignore it. I know some people enjoy the BS and that is their choice. The only certainty is that it will not go away by fighting it or the people who enjoy it!
