Comments: Now pressing high probably was GN's idea but intensity of the players, I am not sure, especially Sardar who does not like him. I think the players just realized that this Japan was beatable and decided to give it their best.
Comments: Agha Zinsky, I noticed two noticeable changes in the second half. First we pressed high disrupting their distribution. Now they seemed surprisingly susceptible to this and and made a lot of forced errors. I would have thought that Japan can handle the ball better. The other noticable difference was the intensity of the front players, led by Sardar, JB, and Ghodous. Sardar was especially jazzed in the second half. He was a whole different player!
