Comments: I cannot count how many times Russia has announced that they will help Iran build its peaceful Nuclear reactor in Bushehr. All I know is that after 47 years, we still do not have a working reactor!
Comments: Russia has screwed Iran multiple times with weapon and support promises that were never delivered. China, on the other hand, might be willing to follow through with their promises. We shall see. Either way, a war could break out by the end of the week and it won’t be pretty. If they can reach a deal which might be just an excuse to buy time, it could be delayed for a while.
Comments: It was only a matter of time for the Chinese to get into the militerizing game. US policy and aggression is squarely at fault.
Comments: Mashti if you mean an attack with the intention of regime change, I'd say you should get take out. TACO sounds good.

Comments: China just announced sell of CM-302 anti ship supersonic missiles to Iran. If this is true a definite game changer in Persian Gulf. CM-302 is considered by some the best anti ship in production (known thru public domain data). It seems China is standing behind IR 🤷🏻♂️

Comments: President Donald Trump likely feels that the U.S. military is invincible after the success of various operations he has ordered during his time in office, including the killing of Iranian general Qasem Soleimani in 2020, the bombing of the Iranian nuclear program in June 2025, and the abduction of Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro in January. But those were all “one and done” strikes. The military operation that Trump has threatened against Iran is potentially much larger and lengthier—and thus much riskier. Various news outlets have published articles in recent days reporting that General Dan Caine, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, is concerned about the risks of strikes on Iran. This looks very much like a concerted messaging campaign by the U.S. military to surface their concerns before Trump orders them into action. In response, Trump took to Truth Social to denounce “the Fake News Media” for stating that Caine “is against us going to War with Iran,” calling that “100% incorrect.” But, in fact, all of these news stories state that Caine has not expressed either support or opposition to the strikes; he is merely raising concerns about how a military campaign would unfold, as he is legally obligated to do in his role as the president’s senior military adviser. And there are risks aplenty. The United States and Israel, working with Arab allies, were successfully able to shoot down almost all of the ballistic missiles and drones that Iran fired at Israel during the Twelve Day War in June. But while Iran’s longer-range missile forces were decimated during that conflict, there is evidence of Iran building its inventory back up. Moreover, Iran still has larger numbers of short-range and anti-ship missiles. Those missiles could be used to target U.S. bases in the region and oil infrastructure belonging to U.S. allies such as Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates.

Comments: Secretary of State Marco Rubio was expected to brief top lawmakers Tuesday on Iran as the administration weighs possible strikes. Asked about the briefing, Schumer said if the administration wants to “do something in Iran, and who the hell knows what it is, they should make it public and discuss it with the public, and not keep it in secret”. “When you do these military operations in secret, it always causes longer wars, tragedy, more expenses and mistake,” he said. Jeffries, speaking shortly before the briefing was due to begin, said the administration needed to explain its contradictoray positions on the status of Iran’s nuclear program. “Now we’re to believe that there’s an exigent circumstance where Donald Trump may need to strike militarily in order to prevent Iran, presumably, from achieving its nuclear ambitions,” Jeffries said. “Wait, what happened to Iran’s nuclear program being completely and totally obliterated? Donald Trump’s words, not our words.” “The American people understand that under no circumstances, should the Trump administration get us into another failed foreign, forever war,” he told reporters. “We know the outcome, particularly in the Middle East: It’s going to cost American lives. It’s not going to lead to any decisive resolution. And it’s going to waste taxpayer dollars that should be spent, making life better for the American people.” “Congress needs to act and authorize military force before any military action is taken by Donald Trump and his administration,” he added, vowing to make the point “very clearly” in the briefing this afternoon
Comments: Islam or religion in general is almost non existent for young people nowadays. All they have seen and felt in the name of Islam has made them totally hate it. Not all but majority for sure. Older people are kind of in the middle. They would like to keep part of Islam they like but distance themselves from mullahs. I personally didn’t see one person who did Namaz or Rooze last year when I was there. And yes, lots of cursing at anyone or anything to do with Islam. If history is any indication, with the end of IRI, we should expect a similar outcome as it happened in Europe some 500 years ago after the revolt against the church. And like Europe, some will go back to religion as it might be their only salvation from the pain and suffering.
Comments: Zinsky. Same thing here. Almost 100%. Their argument is beh tang oomadim. After what the regime did after the 12 day war with patriotic Ey Iran song and statues of shahs of other dynasties people thought that there may be a change. But after the genocide and massacre of more 30 thousand citizens, people no longer want these guys and screaming for help. Like you I tell them America is after its own benefit and they are saying thanks fine, in the middle of it we will find our benefits too. The other thing I mentioned yesterday is mazhab. People are just throwing fohsh kharo madar to Islam Ghoraan and Hassan o Hossein with main character Fatemeh Zahra. No one even fasting in Iran. All restaurants open all day and full. Ridam beh Ghoraanetoon Ridam beh eslametoon is like everyday talk.
Comments: My relatives split into at least three groups:
1. A small proportion still support iri (2 people that I know) 2. A small proportion support RPG (also two people as far as I can tell) 3. The great majority (close to 50) are holding their head and saying khodA rahm koneh. The first group is obvious where it stands and is mostly quiet at this point because of all the opposition. The second group is the loudest and are certain that once this regime is gone, the clock will turn back to 50 years ago. It will be heaven on earth. I have spoken to many of the Relatives in Tabriz that belong to the third group. The consensus is: We don't even want it to get better at this point. Is there anyone who can guarantee it wont get worse? ![]() This is pretty sad but the reality.

Comments: I used to argue with some on the other site. My argument was simple. IRI is a cancer. Stage 12 for that matter! My argument was that we need to treat it with care. Medication, chemotherapy, radiation therapy and whatever else available before jumping at surgery and cutting part of the body to save the rest. At this stage and after the latest massacre, I can’t argue that anymore. People did what they needed to do. Not once but multiple tries to change the system within. Nothing worked. This regime will NOT leave easily. Unarmed people cannot fight the army or sepah. External force and pressure is needed. Unfortunately, as we all have seen it could get ugly, very ugly. Day by day, the options are getting less viable. What comes next will not be pretty but just like the surgery I mentioned, might be the only way to save the nation while losing many civilians. I would not recommend it to anyone but again, it’s what they want, at least the ones I talk to.
Comments: Reza & the rest, What do you hear from your friends and family back in Iran? I know many don’t really have families in Iran anymore. Most are either left or passed away since 1979. I have been ignoring the people here, EU or Australia. They have their opinion which is fine but I don’t see them as fully in! I go with what I hear from my own family (largely still in Iran) who are anywhere between small kids to 70s+. Almost 90% are united against this regime in a way that anything is better than this. I don’t necessarily agree but again, I’m sitting here telling them about all that could go wrong is not what they want to hear. |
