It seems Israel decided to sit this one out! They started all this and dragged US into the war but realized it is very costly.
US also doesn’t have to spend money defending Israel.
The Arab nations are the sitting ducks. U.S. will not waste any money on them. They can buy more shit to defend themselves at much higher cost!
At some point, those MoFo Arab governments need to make a clear decision to ask U.S. to leave them be and side with Iran. It’s not today or tomorrow but if this gets uglier, they have to…

I have an idea for Iran to use in order to get to the American audience..., a slogan they can relate to, from a successful movie. A movie that shows an empire-type ruling party that controls other districts...

I am talking about the "Hunger Games"..., and where the rebellion character "Katniss Everdeen" says to the "President Snow":

"IF WE BURN..., YOU BURN".

Iran says it hit U.S. command center in Syria as Hormuz fight escalates

July 17 (UPI) -- Iran early Friday said it struck a U.S. special operations command center in southeastern Syria, escalating the war over the Strait of Hormuz, as the United States attacked bridges and other urban infrastructure in Iran.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps described the strike in a statement as a "surprise attack" conducted in retaliation for the seven soldiers killed early Wednesday in a U.S. attack on Bampur, near Iranshahr in southeastern Iran.

The elite military unit claimed to have destroyed a U.S. radar system and several special-operations helicopters. It claimed to have killed "a large number" of Americans....

Current Status and Regional Tensions
  • Operational Status: The waterway remains open to general maritime traffic, but it is under a "conditional closure order" from Tehran. [1, 2]
  • Houthi Blockade: The Iran-backed Houthi movement has declared a "total and complete ban" specifically targeting all Israeli-linked shipping. [1]
  • Standby Order: Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has officially instructed the Houthis to fully close the strait if the United States launches retaliatory strikes against Iranian power infrastructure. [1, 2]
  • Military Readiness: The Houthis have completed operational preparations, positioning a dense array of drones and anti-ship missiles along the Yemeni highlands overlooking the strait. They are currently awaiting the final directive from IRGC command to execute the closure

"Reports are that Iran is using a new rocket that is more powerful and advanced than anyone has seen. Massive explosions in Persian Gulf states!"

These were used hitting Q8 n Jordan - very high success rate as almost none were intercepted in both locations

U.S. is cutting off all roads, bridges, airports and highways to the southern part of Iran. Most likely planning for boot on the ground. Plans seem to be to take most of the cities near the Persian gulf and control the shipping lanes! If that happens, we are looking at the all out war with hundreds of thousands casualties on all sides. Iran will probably go after everything they can reach in the region. Not only the U.S. assets but anything they can hit. Civilian infrastructure including downtown Dubai could be wiped out in matter of days. Power plants, water desalination facilities, airports, oil and gas facilities are all under threat.
I’m worried Iran and Iranians are going to suffer the most. No electricity, no gas, no water, no food!

On the game, it was disappointing to watch England fall apart so easily! They couldn’t defend or put together anything in the second half. It was also the regular bias as Messi clearly stepped on the foot of the defender before passing the ball for the goal!
On the war, it seems it’s getting out of hand. U.S. has realized bombing will not be enough so they are out of options. It is going to get uglier as each side is trying to flex their muscles knowing that it the only thing left to do. Poor people!!! I’m getting bunch of massages from Iran saying their goodbyes before the internet cuts off inevitably. Even inside Trump’s inter circle, they have realized that Israel dragged them into this war and don’t want them to stop.
If this goes on for another 3-6 months, the world economy will suffer greatly.

Reuters reporter that sound explosions were heard in downtown dubai. UAE insisted that the report was wrong and made Reuters to take it back! Dubai is sending drones into Iran and so, UAE attacks have started.

There are also reports that Iran is considering a land operation to occupy US bases in the region. Iran has denied this.

I am happy we got the first all Spanish speaking final since 1930. But ARG made it political after the game ended by showing the sign "Malvinas belongs to Argentina" on the pitch. I am happy about it but if FIFA wants politics out of the game they should punish them. I bet if Iran did anything like this about the USA/Isreal they would be banned permannetly by FIFA [biggrin]
