No war in the history of the world has been fought to help ordinary people. People will die, their belongings will be destroyed and only few people will benefit. It’s only about money and power. Civilians are just used to make money and power for the few on the top!

There is an old saying that says “everything happens for a reason”! Maybe, just maybe, the past few years had to happen for the world to see the true face of Israel and the west. Unfortunately, it required such painful and cruel consequences but finally the world opinion is shifting.

People back home are going through the worst times with on again, off again BS coming from Trump. The uncertainty, fear and anxiety has become their daily reality. The skyrocketing cost of living plus the fear of all out war is taking its toll. If nothing else, the mental health of the people is getting worse every single day! The JPY reached it's lowest value since 1986 vs the US $ last week. Since the start of the war with Iran and rise in oil prices Japan has to raise more $ to spend on oil, remember oil is only traded in $. This means it's own currency has been falling to a 40 year low vs the $.
So Japan has to buy more $ or raise interest rates to stop the decline of it's currency. They own a lof of US bonds and have been selling them to raise their $ reserves. This in turn will raise the bond rates in the US which is an infaltion indicator for the US economy. Japan has been keeping interest rates at near 0 for decades which attracts a lot of investors to borrow money in Japan and invest in 10 year US treasurey notes for a nice no risk profit. Once Japan raises interest rates this profit margin is wiped out and the investors will exit US bonds.
This will force the investors to sell the US bonds they hold which in turn will raise the interest rates in the US. So Bessent is forced to intervene not because they love Japan but because if they don't buy JPY and inject more $ into Japan the raise in interest rates will serioulsy put the American stock market under pressure and increase inflation in the US.
The key number is 5% coupon rate on 10 year bonds. Right now it's close to 4.8% and the US treasurey will probably spend even more $ to buy JPY if needed otherwise more infaltion and stock market decline is inevitable.
Another reason why Trump's war of choice on Iran is such a big strategic mistake.
