Great do va meidAni skills. :) But man to set yourself up for a good shot, planning, and the skills for execution are all horrendous! Against a talented team, you will get may be a couple of these chances in a game and when you are this poor in capitalizing, you will get punished.

Now compare this to Iran's team which has not had any friendlies, are greatly out of shape, have huge psychological burdons, have no coaching whatsoever, and their selection has been through nothing but a corrupt process. Still take a look at the goal that Mohebi had in spite of a horrible game that he had otherwise. That shows the sparkle of talent that he has as compared to the dim light of talent that you see in USA and Australian players. This is where the talent pool comes in. Iran has a vast pool of talent and even a corrupt process results in more talented players than what US' meticulous search and training comes up with.
