I had lufthansa tickets and they managed to put us on Emirates even though Lufthansa is not their partner. They did this in less than five minutes, totally taking away stress and anxiety of the american customer service.Lufthansa, by the way, has a great office on Pahlavi street (Vali Asr now) just a block south of Park Saei. Still, this is one of the nicest streets in Tehran, IMO.
Comments: Boy, busy few days. It does indeed seem like they saved the funerals for me to get back. One was for a great lady Sussan Moghadas whose charitable contributions over her life span was so substantial that they had to only mention the highlights. She was instrumental in establishing KhAneh Iran here in San Diego. She also has funded and built so many schools in rural Iran - most of them in Sistan Baluchestan. At her memorial, they had so many videos of children, men, women from the region all thanking her for what she had done. Such an amazing person. She spent the last two decades of her life building schools and charitable organizations in Iran completely staying away from politics and not allowing anyone to take her vatan from her. She also spend some time on her joy of traveling around the world. May she rest in peace. She was not a lengesh kon from 12000 miles away shahollAhi.

Comments: We have seen Trump lie and cheat and go off script during his speeches but since last month, he is showing signs of his age. I’m not sure if it’s the pressure of his campaign failing apart or something else. In all reality, it probably doesn’t matter to his supporters. He will still do very well in the general election. When it comes to Trump, most people can’t tell if he is crazy or pretending. I think the election will be very close and end up like the one with Hillary. Popular vote will go to Harris and Trump will win one crucial state that would make him president again. I think it will be even closer than the election with Hillary.

Comments: Part of being Trump is that people would not be surprised at anything he says or does. He can say he is a black man from Kennya and some people would believe him! His crazy remarks and lies are so outrageous that no one wants to question them anymore. They are baked in as who he is. His supporters blame others for spreading lies. It is a strong and very strange phenomenon. Others talk about Republicans vs Democrats. When it comes to Trump, there is no such thing. He is neither. He is just another conman who found a place inside the Republican committee and took over the whole place in matter of months. They can't get rid of him, so they have to accept him to survive.

Comments: Good morning everyone. I was not asleep this whole time. :) Soccer yesterday and some other long overdue stuff, plus two funerals all packed into the few days. As for politics, anytime Israel attacks before negotiations, it is a sign of them being on the losing front of negotiations. The recent events and assassinations is no exception. We'll have to see what happens with the negotiations. |
