Comments: Agreed on VAR. it should either get fully automated or stop using it unless a team/coach contest a call. In that case, team could lose a sub for calling the VAR & the result stands. Let the refs do their imperfect thing. Bias won’t go away but given it a new tool is not going to help either.

Comments: Hamvatan, I agree with you 100%..., VAR has been a joke. just another tool to benefit the "Favored" teams. Iran's goal against Belgium should have counted if there were unbiased referees watching and judging the VAR video clips. This is yest another "lie" to the people, letting them think there is justice in the world, which is not..., kind of like "Your Vote Counts"..., lol.

They will be hesitant to overturn the calls even in obvious situations in order to not over rule the ref or give favorites (mostly European teams) the advantage. England has been one of the beneficiaries. Their goalie took out Ghana's forward outside the box without intention of playing the ball. But the foul was called on Ghana forward!
