Based on the games today and the games before Iran tomorrow, we should have a much better understanding of the 3rd place possibilities for advancing.
As of today, a tie would put Iran ahead of South Korea and Scotland on goal difference.
I believe groups E and I would not have a 3rd ranked team moving to the next round.
That is why the computer models give Iran a 97% chance of advancing with a tie.
Last WC, we had a 100% chance of advancing with a tie against US and we blew it!!!
We need to win…

I wonder how many Iranian fans will show up to Seattle. Iranian population in Seattle is not large but it’s close (relatively speaking) to San Francisco, LA and other CA cities.
