The freekicks were nice, especially the first one. But the rest of the game was boring to me. I had to fast forward some parts of the game.

The individual flare, and the unpredictable skill is no longer there in the game. I do not know whether this is just these two teams or is it that all football is going in this direction. Players run a lot, but a lot of it is prescribed and predictable to me.

The sell-off brings Apple’s three-day rout to 19%, a downdraft that’s wiped out $638 billion in market cap.

There’s another group both young n old that have a deep religious belief n conviction. Those still believe in the foundation of an Islamic Republic even if they are disappointed with current situation. They are the equivalent of  Super- MAGA, they never criticize the leader always coming up with excuses of incompetence that surrounds him.

Sounds familiar? It should, Shaholiahis have used the same tactics to say Shah was good man but surrounded by back-stabbers n chaploos, never accepting that these people are there because of your leader

Trump is desperate to register a win somewhere. Ukraine and Gaza have both flopped.

My summary of the political situation in Iran.
Just about everyone I talked to wants a change. I didn’t meet anyone who is happy with the regime.
Issue is the same as we have been discussing for years. How to get the change.
People over 50-55 are about 60% pro Pahlavi. Anyone younger is looking for a new leader and have few in mind. They don’t want Reza Pahlavi in charge. They don’t respect him or believe he is ready to lead the country.
Once again, somewhere in 50/50, people are for/against foreign help. If anything, only few want US military forces to attack Iran or Iranian military/nuclear facilities.
Many believe change is happening but not fast enough.
Lastly, majority are hopeful that negotiations can ease the pressure and lead to more changes in near future. People under 40 believe that with these negotiations, the regime has no choice to ease up internally and spend less internationally.
There are also the older people (60s+) who want US to bomb the shit of Iran and force Reza Pahlavi to take over.
I believe at the end the younger generation will continue to push the regime and make the changes necessary. It might not be fast but I believe they have the potential to do it.

Four students have been deported from UCSD. A fifth was not admitted into US after a Mexico visit and was sent back to her original country.

People disappearing off the streets by the government forces, law enforcement covering their identity from public while on duty, all are sorts of things we used to hear about Russia and other dictatorships. They are now happening in the good old US of A. What is next? Here is my prediction:

1. Elimination of first amendment (in progress)
2. Nullifying the 14th amendment (also in progress)
3. Redefining the constitution (started in disguise but will become public next)

I do not think #1 and #2 need any examples. There are plenty to see. For #3, the constitution starts with "We the people". The meaning of the term "we the people" is actively being redefined without any announcement. It has always meant people in this country, regardless of immigration status, color of their skin, language, etc. But the general theme in all efforts is that the term no longer applies to everyone in this country. The administration has already announced that people's rights depend on their immigration status. Next stop will be language, and then color of skin. Mark my word on this one too.
