One of the things that no one is talking about is Iraq mobilizing to take Q8. This will make the current mess into an incredible one.

Zinsky jAn, you describe most of our routines. With the exception of the cigarettes, I am there with you.
For my source of news, I do not bother with TV channels. They are copies of each other all coming from the same source. This includes NPR. These all have been designed to simply brouadcast what the white house says regardless of how ridiculous and corrupt it is and regardless of how obviously lie it is.

There are lots of youtube, instagram, and tictoc platforms that I surf through for my news. Mearsheimer, Ritters, and a few US generals analyze the situation daily and report it as it happens. I try to only watch those. This does not present a better or less worrisome picture. But it at least give me a better picture of the present so that I know where we are really going.

This has become the daily routine of mine.
Get up after a restless night without much sleep. Check the web for any positive news while knowing very well that it will not be there. Spend an hour checking every possible news about my beloved country to find anything to calm me down! Nothing so far. Go out for a walk smoking few cigarettes and try to calm my nerves.
Get a call from my family back home which makes it even worse when I hear the pain and suffering. They try to make ME feel better by saying all is going to be fine when I can hear the anxiety in their voices. Scroll through multiple TV channels for any news but it’s even more nerve wracking.
Spend the day like a zombie hoping for anything reassuring, but no such luck. Back to bed with a dream of a better day tomorrow. A month of this and I’m excited, anxious, angry and…keeping the hope alive!!!

"We finally know what happened"

All Shahollahies did was to help YAboo to convince Trump. The latter, of course never asked, is there enough support for RPG to upend IRI? The answer to that was not even close. They are the most inept political group I have seen.

U.S. intelligence publicly disclosed this month that there is "selective cooperation" among China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea, driven by the common goal of "balancing U.S. efforts and actions," but found it was short of "adversary alignment" of interests. The worldwide threat assessment by the U.S. Director of National Intelligence concluded that the four countries share concerns about directly confronting the U.S. which constrains the scope of their relationships.
In the meantime, there is high demand among Israel, Gulf allies and Ukraine to buy the U.S.-made interceptors used to take down incoming missiles.
Rubio argued that the U.S. sale and allocation of defensive equipment to Ukraine has not been negatively impacted by the need for interceptors in the Mideast. He said that the NATO mechanism to purchase that weaponry has been unaffected but he did acknowledge the U.S. may redirect weaponry in the future.
"If we need something for America and it's American, we're going to keep it for America first. But as of now, that has not happened." Rubio said.

In his piece for Foreign Affairs published Feb. 24, Swanson wrote that Iran would not capitulate after a bombing campaign, but rather escalate and “target global oil flows and international shipping, sending energy prices up and creating a serious political liability for Trump.” And indeed, Iran has made scattershot attacks on energy targets and others across the region, as well as throttling passage through the Strait of Hormuz by threatening attacks on ships.
In an interview with POLITICO this week, Swanson predicted that the Trump administration’s negotiations with Iran will not go well because both sides are “irrationally confident” in their positions. Neither side seems willing to find an offramp at this point, he said.
“I think the war is probably going to go on longer than anyone anticipated,” he said.
We spoke with Swanson this week about his predictions — and what he thinks comes next in the war with Iran.
This interview has been edited for length and clarity.
Trump keeps saying Iran’s response has surprised him — that no one told him Iran would retaliate against regional energy infrastructure. How does that kind of comment from the president sit with you?
Obviously, it’s not true. There are many people in the government who told him that there was high risk involved. He just chose not to listen to them. And as someone who was forced out of the government and wrote pretty much exactly what was fairly obviously going to happen, that doesn’t sit super well.

Perspectives, I agree. I just posted the same thing! :)

He also confirmed that the "destroyed" Hezbollah is doing a number on IDF. They are abandoning their tanks and running up the hill fleeing the battle field! If true, Israel is in deep trouble! And this brings about the possibility of nuclear war.

Everyone should watch and listen to what Lawrence Wilkerson, the retired Colonel in the US Army and the former Chief of Staff to the US Secretary of State says.

This is scary. Lawrence Wilkerson is former Chief of Staff talks about the possibility of Israel using the nuclear bomb.

The statements from Araghchi to the UN about the destruction inflicted on Iran, already is so sad.

I agree. Israel will destroy any off ramp that Trump tries to manufacture for himself. Trump is quite fragile because the war has been a disaster for him. So, the off ramp has to be a lie. Those are real easy to destroy.

On the other hand, Iran will not stop unless USA agrees to Iranian control of the Straight of Hormuz. This would look pretty bad for Trump if they do it openly. So, this is going to go on for some time and there will be quite a bit of damage to Iran, obviously, but also to the neighboring countries. Ground combat seems to have already started and will intensify.

All of this was predictable.

What is unclear to me is when Trump will realize that he has been duped into starting this war and is now a hostage to Yaboo. Whether this frustrates him or not is unclear to me.

The one thing that is clear to me is that RPG is done. Sad that we needed a war and a lot f death for people to start seeing this.

  • Oil industry executives painted a grim picture of the Iran war supply disruption at S&P Global's annual CERAWeek energy conference in Houston.
  • They warned that the disruption is bigger than the markets understand and prices are unlikely to return to pre-war levels soon.
  • The disruption to jet fuel, diesel and gasoline is even bigger. Shortages are rippling through Asia and will hit Europe by April, they said.
  • Security experts said escalation of the war is likely. The conflict could break the Gulf Arab nations economies.

Yemen's Iran-aligned Houthis have launched missiles at Israel in their first attack since the current Middle East conflict broke out.
The Houthis, whose involvement on Saturday risks broadening and prolonging a war that has entered its fifth week, warned their operations would continue until the “aggression” on all fronts ended. Israel said it had intercepted a missile from Yemen.
Experts have warned the rebel group may attempt to block the Bab al-Mandab Strait south of Yemen, further disrupting shipping lanes around the Red Sea.
The escalation comes after US Secretary of State Marco Rubio's latest update on the war suggested the conflict would last “weeks, not months” and Iran had indicated a willingness to talk about “certain things”.
Meanwhile, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has closed the Strait of Hormuz, adding that any transit through the waterway will face “harsh measures”, according to state media.
Rubio raised concerns that Iran could operate the strait using a tolling system if their control over the waterway persisted.
