Comments: On the affordability, I have a relative who works for the World Bank. He is an analyst for them. He say Iran has the most peculiar economy. Unlike other countries, it has two almost completely independent economies. One is the one that is advertised and we see. It is the one that is run by the government and severely affected by sanctions, policy, etc. the second is an entirely private sector economy that almost never is affected by the first one. It is also not based on the local currency and follows the dollar value. This second economy is not affected by sanctions or price rises. If prices go up, it will simply increase the prices of the goods and services that it sells. So, they are like a corkscrew on water. Whether the economy goes up or down is irrelevant and they will be always o the surface. So, those who work for the second economy, $ valuation and local prices do not matter. But those who solely work for the first economy and do not have a second private job on the side, life is very difficult and they suffer the most. I think the people that you see on the streets shopping are all those dependent on the second economy which is much larger than the first one.
Comments: Zinsky jAn, I wish I was there too. Enjoy my friend and live life to the fullest while you can.
Comments: Good morning Tehran. I will try to go see it but there are so many things I want to do while here. Prices have almost doubled and some even more since last year. People are still out shopping but I’m not sure how. Sangak is 25,000 toman. That is the government subsidize price. There are private ones at 50,000. There is no shortage of stuff but very expensive for locals. I had Ab-Anar yesterday. Man, it was so refreshing. Love the food but even more, love the juice and snacks.

Comments: lol I remember going to see these paintings when I was 16. The Picasso exhibit had just opened. I love it that the paintings are still there. The museum itself is also an interesting building worth seeing.
Comments: Zinksy if you have the time and interest make sure you visit the Tehran's Musem of Contemporary Art and their new Picasso exhibition. These works have not been seen in public for a long time. It opened a couple of days ago! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qPKbBMLYx64&ab_channel=Miladcr https://www.asriran.com/fa/news/1044279/%D8%A7%D9%81%D8%AA%D8%AA%D8%A7%D8%AD%DB%8C%D9%87-%D9%86%D9%85%D8%A7%DB%8C%D8%B4%DA%AF%D8%A7%D9%87-%D8%A2%D8%AB%D8%A7%D8%B1-%D9%BE%D8%A7%D8%A8%D9%84%D9%88-%D9%BE%DB%8C%DA%A9%D8%A7%D8%B3%D9%88-%D8%AF%D8%B1-%D9%85%D9%88%D8%B2%D9%87-%D9%87%D9%86%D8%B1%D9%87%D8%A7%DB%8C-%D9%85%D8%B9%D8%A7%D8%B5%D8%B1-%D8%AA%D9%87%D8%B1%D8%A7%D9%86-%D8%B9%DA%A9%D8%B3
