Talks between Iran and the United States over Tehran’s rapidly advancing nuclear program appeared ready Monday to leave the Middle East, as an Italian source said the next round of negotiations would take place in Rome.

The stakes of the negotiations couldn’t be higher for the two nations closing in on half a century of enmity. U.S. President Donald Trump repeatedly has threatened to unleash airstrikes targeting Iran’s nuclear program if a deal isn’t reached. Iranian officials increasingly warn that they could pursue a nuclear weapon with their stockpile of uranium enriched to near weapons-grade levels.
A source in the Italian government confirmed that the next round would take place in Rome on Saturday. The person spoke on condition of anonymity to The Associated Press because they weren’t authorized to speak publicly.

Trump has asked one favor from Iran in return so far, leave the US Embassy compound in Tehran alone and bring it back to it's original form as is Iran's Embassy in Washington.
And Iran is thinking about doing it per insider reports.
The $ has dropped from a high of 107K to around 83K toman in just 2 days.
So don't be surprised if the embassies open in both countries in the next 2 months!

We were at a gathering last night and every single person was expressing concern about the points that Zakaria is making. I think there is a lot of merit to what he says and so we are witnessing not only the complete destruction of the system of checks and balances in this country, but also that of the future of this country, all for the benefit of the pocket of a few people. Running the country into bankruptcy for all generations to come so that a few can benefit from it now.

I think the agreement was made before they met. I’m sure they are working out the details but they need to drag it for domestic purposes. It can’t be a quick process.
Unfortunately, it won’t last as Iran will not give up everything and U.S. is not a reliable source

I think they will reach an agreement (or already have). It is in the interest of Russia.

But I do not think they will announce the full agreement. It is not in anyone's interest.

But regardless, I do not think IRI will allow dollar to sink all that much. It is not in their interests. $ is IRI's way of market manipulation these days. It will bounce back up.

$ dropped from all time highs of 110,000 to 83,000 in less than a week due to talks in Oman. Could be false hope but hope nevertheless. I don’t know how it could move if a deal is reached. For the sake of Iranians back home, I would like to see some relief from high prices and anxiety over possibility of war.
I don’t trust either side to announce the whole deal or stick to it long term. I’m assuming each side will use the deal to make themselves look better at home. Both sides need some good news!
