UAE score 13 on Guam, I think they will beat HK but not with 4 goals as Iran did, but to be safe Iran needs to score at least 15+ goals on Guam to have have the GD in their favor in the last match in case of a draw. Remember only the top team qualifies directly and coming in 2nd takes Iran to another achos machos scenario [biggrin]

The general is clearly taking CAFA matches up to know as friendlies for team evaluation. He made 8 changes from the last game in the starting line up today. And most of the players also played with that attitude. Iran is in the final most probably against UZB on Monday, we night see a more serious game on that day!
BTW, Taremi was the worst player on the team today. His job was to destroy Iran chances while attacking [biggrin]

I think this is why Mohammad Reza equated money with progress. He thought that the rest of his nation will quickly abandon old believes and become a European nation, given enough money. He did not understand his own society. We now see the same symptoms in his son. Except that the son is also a bit of a shirin aghl.

Report: Iranian Weightlifting to File CAS Application Over Behdad Salimi’s Overturned Lift

Tehran-based Merh News is reporting that the Iranian Weightlifting Federation will file an application with the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in response to events during the men’s superheavyweight A session at the Rio Olympics.

Iranian lifter and 2012 London Olympic Champion Behdad Salimi snatched a new World Record 216kg during the snatch portion of the event. During the clean & jerk portion, his first lift at 245kg was turned down by the judges. In a move that has since created a large outcry from Iranian fans, Salimi’s second attempt was originally given three white lights and then overturned by the international jury for a press-out; the five-member jury has final say in the event of a disagreement with the three judges.

The Pahlavi dynasty was/is a historical abnormality for Iran. These 3 unique facts about them prove it beyond a doubt.

1. The dynasty had 2 kings who fled Iran 3 times while in power.
2. Neither of the 2 kings died in Iran.
3. The dynasty came into power without overthrowing the previous dynasty by force as has been the norm throughout Iranian history.
