Comments: I met with a family friend who used to support Trump. He is still trying to justify his actions even though he doesn’t seem to be as big of a fan as before. He was talking about undocumented and a need to slow China down before it takes over the world. He is also anti poor! He believes poor are poor because they don’t want to work and enjoy the government help instead. He is relatively new to America. He’s been here 12 years and became a citizen 6 years ago. He comes from a rich family back home and still gets help from his parents even though he has a decent job and is in his early 50s. My argument was simple. I’m not against deporting criminal undocumented and working with China and the rest of the world when it comes to unfair trade. The major issue is how! Deporting people without due process is not the way. Just about every president in the past 20-30 years deported undocumented people but they had a system to arrest them, go through legal process to make sure they needed to be deported. On trade, it could have been planned differently. Rather than on again, off again and impose tariffs just because, one should work with friends in N-America and Europe to level the ground. With China, start the negotiations first before pissing them off and start a war that could hurt them both. But again, this is how Trump deals with others. We should not be surprised.

Comments: Similar but not quite. Annealing and other temperature approaches also promise the exploration of the entire space. This does not as a drunken sailor might puke and pass out after a few steps.
Comments: I see this more like annealing algorithm used to solve the traveling sales man problem. Small random steps towards unvisited nodes for example
Comments: This is a combination of random walk with deterministic optimization like gradient descent. So, it is semi random but not completely random. Your overall direction is still generally guided by the direction of the gradient. But some random effect is added to (step size and direction). Random walk is entirely random. It promises to explore all of the problem space. But Drunken Sailor does not guarantee this, like gradient methods.
