Comments: I know people who have been taking statins for decades now. Still, their LDL is barely within the limits. And these statins do nothing for HDL (the good cholesterol) levels. Many Iranians also have low HDL and need it to come higher. And as we age, many also take daily BP medications. Taking all these drugs on a daily basis does a number on your kidneys. I really would like to see people to get off these life-long drug commitments. A single shot for the LDL would be so great. What they need to assess in the next phases of the trials are the unintended side effects. For example if this ends up to also reduce HDL levels, that would be very bad.
Comments: This is a promising breakthrough- I tell you as someone who has struggled with its LDL-C for sometime now, a single dose that cause 50 to 60% reduction would be amazing

Comments: I bought some VERV. This one is a long-term investment. Reza you are making me waste money. 
Comments: I might buy VERV. It sounds promising and the company is loaded with very good people. But they are only in Phase 1b. So, we'll have to see how the rest of the phases of clinical trial will pan out. But if they are successful, they will put close to a billions of $ statin industry out of their misery!

A single infusion of VERVE-102 led to dose-dependent decreases in blood PCSK9 as well as blood LDL-C, with mean reduction in blood LDL-C of 53% and maximum reduction of 69% observed in the 0.6 mg/kg dose cohort.

Comments: Every year I have some enthusiasm for TM doing well in the WC. During CQ time, I had high hopes that we would actually do so well that we would advance out of our group. This year, I actually think that we will come in last in our group. This is saying a lot since this year shitty teams like Uzbakistan will also make it to the WC. This team really sucks and it is all the coach. This MF is sitting on his ass and doing nothing. He just shows up to the games. That is all.
