Fact Sheet: President Donald J. Trump Designates Fentanyl as a Weapon of Mass Destruction

DEFENDING AMERICA FROM A CHEMICAL WEAPON: Today, President Donald J. Trump signed an Executive Order designating illicit fentanyl and its core precursor chemical as weapons of mass destruction (WMD).

  • The Order directs the Attorney General to immediately pursue criminal charges, sentencing enhancements, and sentencing variances in fentanyl trafficking cases.
  • The Order directs the Secretary of State and the Secretary of the Treasury to pursue appropriate actions against relevant assets and financial institutions for those involved in or supporting the manufacture, distribution, and sale of illicit fentanyl and its core precursor chemicals.
  • The Order directs the Secretary of War and Attorney General to determine whether the Department of War should provide enhanced national security resources to the Department of Justice as necessary during an emergency situation involving a weapon of mass destruction.
  • The Order directs the Secretary of War, in consultation with the Secretary of Homeland Security, to update their chemical incident response-related directives to include the fentanyl threat.

The defensive discipline is completely gone. Being the underdog in WC, Iran needs to defend well, look for opportunities to counter attack and hopefully they can tie or win a game or two. This team can’t defend against any team well enough to hope for that anymore. The only thing left is to control the midfield but again we lack there as well.

I think the highest problems with TM right now are:

1. Midfield: This is where new players will be helpful, especially creative offensive midfielders.

2. Defensive organization: This includes the function of the midfielders (especially defensive midfielders). This is where a new coach is needed far more than new players.

A new striker is not going to do much here at all unless he is willing to play midfield.

TEHRAN, Iran national team head coach Amir Ghalenoi recently commented on the latest situation of Dennis Eckert, and announced that there is a possibility he will be invited to the Team Melli camp next FIFA window.
A few days ago, it was announced that the Iranian national team is looking to get an Iranian passport for the striker Dennis Ekert, an Spanish-German-Iranian striker playing in the Belgian Jupier League. In the past years it has been repeatedly been discussed about his chances to join the Iranian national team, until now as it seems Eckert is steps away from a call-up.
The striker of Standard Liège has scored two goals for his team in the past three weeks.
The head coach of the national team expressed hope that in the coming days, with the visit of Dennis Eckert’s father to Iran, the main part of the paperwork needed to change the player’s national status will be carried out.
In this regard Ghalenoi said, “It is very interesting that since the day his name has been mentioned, his motivation, quality and statistics have improved. We’ve been following his case for two or three months and it’s got a bunch of small issues. In the next few days, if his father comes to Iran and the issues that we are pursuing are resolved, we hope to have him for his next FIFA window.”
The head coach of the national team also said: “This is all subject to the presence of his father in Iran to complete the necessary administrative work. The national team is also following up on some capacities.”

تیم ملی ایران در گروه G باید به مصاف بلژیک مصر و نیوزیلند برود. گروهی که بدون تردید چالشی جدی برای شاگردان امیر قلعه‌نویی خواهد بود. در چنین شرایطی عبور از مرحله گروهی نیازمند تیمی هماهنگ، با ساختار مشخص و ترکیبی تثبیت‌شده است نه تیمی که هنوز درگیر آزمودن گزینه‌های ناشناخته باشد.
قلعه‌نویی در ماه‌های اخیر به‌دلیل کمبود بازیکن تأثیرگذار در برخی پست‌های کلیدی، به‌ویژه دفاع کناری و هافبک بازی‌ساز ناچار به ایجاد تغییرات مداوم در فهرست تیم ملی شده است. این تغییرات اگرچه در بازی‌های دوستانه قابل توجیه است، اما ادامه آن در فاصله کوتاه مانده تا جام جهانی می‌تواند به از دست رفتن ثبات تاکتیکی منجر شود.
تجربه‌های پیشین در استفاده ناگهانی از بازیکنان دوتابعیتی نیز مهر تأییدی بر این تردیدهاست. در آستانه جام جهانی ۲۰۱۴، دعوت از بازیکنانی چون مهرداد بیت‌آشور و دانیال داوری، عملا دستاورد فنی مشخصی برای تیم ملی تحت هدایت کارلوس کی‌روش نداشت. بازیکنانی که آمدند، بازی نکردند و بی‌سروصدا از چرخه خارج شدند، بدون آنکه نقشی تعیین‌کننده ایفا کنند.
البته نباید موفقیت نمونه‌هایی مانند اشکان دژاگه و فریدون زندی را نادیده گرفت؛ بازیکنانی که با فاصله زمانی مناسب و حداقل یک سال پیش از جام جهانی، وارد اردوهای تیم ملی شدند و فرصت تطبیق با فضای احساسی و خاص فوتبال ایران را به دست آوردند.
شاید تفاوت اصلی در میزان بهره وری از بازیکنان دوتابعیتی به میزان حضور آنها در اردوها بستگی داشته باشد. اینکه یک بازیکن بتواند حضور زودهنگام و تدریجی در اردوها داشته باشد احتمال افزایش میزان موفقیت خود را هم می‌تواند افزایش دهد در غیر این صورت دعوت‌های دقیقه نودی هیچ حاصلی نخواهد داشت.
اکنون معرفی نام‌هایی مانند دنیس اکرت، کاوه ظهیرالاسلام و سایر بازیکنان دورگه به کادرفنی، بیش از آنکه یک تقویت هدفمند باشد، شبیه به «هندوانه دربسته» است. بازیکنانی که حتی در بهترین فرم فردی هم برای تأثیرگذاری در تیم ملی ایران، نیازمند زمان، ارتباط عاطفی و درک فضای خاص رختکن هستند؛ عناصری که در فاصله کوتاه تا جام جهانی به دست نمی‌آید.
اگر هدف تیم ملی ایران صعود از مرحله گروهی جام جهانی ۲۰۲۶ است، راه آن نه در آزمون گزینه‌های ناشناخته، بلکه در تثبیت ترکیب، اعتماد به داشته‌ها و برنامه‌ریزی بلندمدت است. بازیکن دوتابعیتی می‌تواند فرصت باشد، اما تنها زمانی که زودتر شناسایی و به‌درستی در پازل تیم جا داده شود؛ در غیر این صورت، این انتخاب‌ها بیشتر به ریسک‌های پرهزینه شباهت دارند تا راه‌حل‌های نجات‌بخش!

The Providence Police Department has confirmed that a person of interest in connection with the mass shooting at Brown University on Dec. 13 is in police custody.
The shooting, which happened around 4 p.m. that day, left at least two students dead and nine other students injured.
A press conference with more information is expected at noon.
Law enforcement worked well into the night to clear and evacuate Brown University buildings and bring students to the established reunification center.

I’m not sure if any other team qualified to WC has as much “HASHEAA” than Iran. From player’s visa issues to fan’s like/dislike the team and lastly the Pride parade during the game in Seattle. It seems someone or something is trying to tell them to stay home and forget the whole thing!
