Neither Trump, nor Yaboo want RP for one reason or another. It seems odd to me that he is not liked by these two. I still don’t understand why! RP basically told both of them that he will do anything they want. It’s either they don’t believe him, don’t believe he can actually take charge or, and possibly the real reason, is that they want to keep Iran weak and fractured.
Imagine if Iran and by default the whole ME became a peaceful, stable region. After a year or two most of the countries in the region would slowly but surely stop purchasing weapons from US, they would ask them to leave the region as it does not require any security. No conflicts, no wars of any kind. Just brotherly love!!!
That doesn’t seem like a senecio that would please US, does it? It also doesn’t help Yaboo finding excuses to attack anyone they want in the name of security and “defending themselves”.
They truly prefer IRI but one that is scary enough for the region but weak enough that they can’t actually do anything to cause real harm.
This isn’t about RP as a leader. They want to keep IRI alive but not well! No matter how much they talk about regime change, that is the last thing they want. If they find a way to keep the region nervous and unsafe, they will continue with whomever they see fit.
This has zero to do with Iranian people or anyone else for that matter.

Iran did not immediately comment. It was unclear what kind of communication might be taking place and who might be mediating; Iran has previously denied seeking a cease-fire. Mr. Trump had threatened on Saturday to bomb Iran’s energy infrastructure within 48 hours unless Iran agreed to open the Strait of Hormuz in the Persian Gulf, a critical shipping route for the global oil trade.
Mr. Trump did not elaborate on the details of the talks, but analysts have said it is difficult to see a straightforward offramp for the American-Israeli air war with Iran, which began on Feb 28. and has morphed into a wider conflict in the Middle East. - All in on YES for US x Iran ceasefire by Mar 31/Apr 15

Trump's threat and ultimatum to hit Iran's power grids is his typical bluffing. Iran has said that the Hormuz is not 'closed' but no ships can not enter it without Iran's approval.
In this poker game Iran is now holding pocket aces and will call any bluff that Trump makes. Of course the result always depenes on the turn cards but anyone with hold'em experience knows that when you have pocket aces your chances of winning the pot is more than 90%.
And Iran is not going to spare any infrastructure on the other side of the Persian Gulf if Trump goes all in. 
The end result will not open the Horumz but will drive up oil prices to the predicted $200/barrel.

As the war entered it's 4th week it was becoming evident that Israel was running out of anti-missile ammunition. They started moving more of what they have left to large cities lilke Tel Aviv and Haifa from smaller towns.
Iran detected this, probably with help from China or Russia, and switched to hitting smaller towns. The hits on Dimona and Arad were devestating because they were virtually defenseless.

For years we were told IRI is weeks away from the bomb. They were a massive threat to Israel and the entire region.
Now, we are told that they have nothing left.
Both accounts are bullshit.
They were never that close to the bomb and they still have enough power to hit anyone they want, as they did today. Two of their most advanced rockets hit Israel near a nuclear power plant and research facilities. The air defense was useless.

Based on both Trump and Yaboo, IRI has no path to nuclear bomb for years and not capable of making new rockets for a long time. They have no navy, no air force or any real military capability.
If all true, there is no excuse to fight them anymore but there is no sign of war ending soon.
I think Israel is running out of excuses to drag US and anyone else into this war but still they will.
Even if we believe that IRI is finished militarily and are not a threat to Israel and the surrounding region, they remain in power which is not good enough for Israel.
Trump can’t simply withdraw and leave Israel to finish the job.
