Comments: Vice President JD Vance left Islamabad without a deal with his Iranian counterparts, citing their unwillingness to stop the pursuit of nuclear weapons. But both sides appear farther apart than just that issue with Iran demanding control of the Strait of Hormuz, war reparations and the release of frozen assets. Pakistan officials said they would try to restart talks in coming days. Trump, who announced the naval blockade after talks broke down, is weighing resuming military strikes, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing officials familiar with the situation. "The new blockade statement is an overt signal to equity markets that the Iranian conflict remains uncertain, yet traders are viewing this development as negotiation tactic versus an actual policy implementation, or as a long-term solution for the Strait of Hormuz," said Jeff Kilburg, CEO of KKM Financial. Kilburg said it's possible more buyers come in before the market opens Monday. Hopes for a swift end to the war helped all three major benchmarks post their best week since November, following the announcement of a two-week ceasefire between the U.S. and Iran. The S&P 500 rallied 3.6% last week, while the Nasdaq jumped about 4.7%. The Dow gained 3%. First-quarter earnings season unofficially kicks off this week. The nation's largest banks will get it started, with Goldman Sachs slated to release results on Monday. Citigroup, Wells Fargo, JPMorgan Chase, Morgan Stanley and Bank of America are all on the docket later this week.

Comments: Asian Championship Elite in the West will resume tomorrow. Because of the war all the quarter final matches have been moved to Saudi. TER is the only Iranian team remaining. They arrived in Saudi today. They will play Al Ahli of UAE on Tuesday at 7:45 AM PST.
Comments: Rule #47: Never trust a single lock if you want something to stay closed, always put a double lock on it.
Comments: Trump is trying to close the Straight of Hormuz....... that was already closed........... In order to get Iran to open it.......... which was already open before he attacked Iran................... forcing them to close it in the first place. Makes perfect sense
Comments: The SNL skid about this is hilarious. It is at the end of the video too.

Comments: https://youtu.be/_AbIr9ej8KI This is informative. Such a BS. Vance says the talks failed because Iran did not commit not to building a bomb. Clearly this is not true. There is a lot more here.
Comments: Since there was no immediate bombing says a lot. US this time knows the ramifications of such sneaky attacks. They were told if it happens GCCs will be paying the price
Comments: Since every time that they have negotiated the American side has lied to the public and said that there was an agreement while fully intending to bomb Iran, we must take the statement that no agreement was reached as a good sign that at least there wont be any bombing. Iran's foreign minister says that they will keep talking to agree on the rest of the issues. The two sticky points are the control of Hormoz and Iran's stockpile. Does this mean that US has agreed to abandon its 13 bases?
Comments: According to Iranian sources the negotiations have ended with no agreement. Trump refused to admit defeat and accept the Iranian terms for peace. He must admit at least the fact that his mistake in starting the war made Hormuz a key point in negotiations. That was not the case before the war and he must pay the price for his mistake.

Comments: I cannot believe that such rouge and murderous intentions are not a problem for shahollahis. The lack of conscience is really shocking to me.
Comments: If I were Turkiye and Pakistan, I would take the Israeli threat seriously.
Comments: That is a good come back by Erdogan. In reality though I am not sure Turkiye can. Israel is stronger in conventional military, unless Iran degrades them by the time they get to Turkiye. If they want to take on Israel they have to do it Iran style, the 21st century style (as Observes would say), IMO. The big problem for both Iran and Turkiye is Israel's nukes. They will use them. After they do, there will be an uproar and it will end in annexation of Israel in the end, but also will do a great deal of damage and death to the opposing force.
Comments: That picture says it all. Dufus ...

Comments: Turkiye already has warned Israel that it is not iran and will literally destroy Israel if they do anything foolish - Erdogan’s word not mine
Comments: Well, if Israel goes to war with Turkey, Pakistan, Iran and the rest, it will not survive. Iran with no air force and limited air defense stood their ground and fought back. Turkey and Pakistan have much better traditional military! I don’t think even Trump jumps in to help Israel… |
