Toyota just announced they will be lowering their truck prices 🤣🤣🤣, now that they pay 15% instead of 35% tariffs

He definitely sucks and if Iran plays ball, they will get such a sucker deal out of him.

Yep - I feel like he’s actually a terrible negotiator and has been bamboozled by both Japanese and Chinese. European and South American are the only ones he can bully

SMCI is going to benefit hugely from Trump's new rule. They are going to export the hell out of everything they have and China will buy everything.

I am actually surprised that there is no lobby against QC by GPU sector, financial sector, and the crypto sector. All these will be hosed.

Zinsky, I think there is no "if", but "when" QC happens, overnight many will go bankrupt and many will become trillionairs. Thing is that these latter group may not be in the US. Like it has recently been happening, developed stuff in the US gets shipped out to China and they will make the money out of it benefiting a few here but leaving behind all the tax payers who funded the development.

SCARY!!!

Quantum computing poses significant risks to the security of cryptocurrencies, particularly those relying on traditional cryptographic algorithms, necessitating proactive measures to safeguard digital assets.

The Threat of Quantum Computing
Quantum computing represents a leap in computational power, utilizing quantum bits (qubits) that can exist in multiple states simultaneously. This capability allows quantum computers to perform complex calculations much faster than classical computers. As a result, they could potentially break the cryptographic algorithms that secure cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Breaking Encryption: Cryptocurrencies rely on cryptographic techniques, such as the Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm (ECDSA), to secure transactions and protect private keys. Quantum computers could theoretically derive a private key from a public key in a fraction of the time it would take classical computers, exposing users' funds to theft.

Impact on Blockchain Security: The ability of quantum computers to solve complex mathematical problems quickly could undermine the consensus mechanisms that maintain the integrity of blockchain networks. This could lead to vulnerabilities in smart contracts and other decentralized applications.

I swear Trump is a Chinese agent. His new AI rule eliminates Biden's prohibition on sale of AI hardware and software to foreign entities.

Here is how I see teh state of QC currently:

  1. QC is already a thing and its services are offered through MSFT Azure, etc.
  2. The problem is that everyone, except for IONQ requires superconductors which means the machine can only operate near absolute zero.
  3. Hence these machines are only housed at the manufacturers and only their services are sold through the internet.
  4. Their use right now is limited to specific applications. But this is only software development which will come very quickly.
  5. The other issue they have is qbit error. This is a major issue with large qbit systems. But they have a solution for this. If they allow Qbits to interact with each other, error rate is much lower. Here IONQ has a distinct advantage because while everyone else's system only allows qbits to interact with their neighbors, IONQ's trapped ion technology allows interaction with all QBITs in the system, driving the error rate significantly down.
  6. The next big challenge that everyone is working on is to be able to sell the hardware. So, companies like AMZN can run their own QC. On this road also IONQ has an advantage since their system does not have to run near absolute zero.

I probably misunderstand some parts. So, I would appreciate corrections.

Reza, QC can create new superpowers and dispose of some old ones if they cannot turn on a dime ditch whole sectors of economy and create new QC-based sectors. It sure will be disruptive.

Comments:
Faramarz, QC is one of those major disruptive technologies. It will not be like any other breakthrough. It will fuck up many things, including crypto, GPU hardware companies (NVDA, AMD, ...), banking, encryption, cyber security, ....

The list goes on an on.

China is getting into QC. Things r about to heat up. I think Reza said it best. If QC picks up, unless they put a tight control on it, it will hose crypto down the toilet all together. It will mine all possible bitcoins in an hour.

These epstein files are interesting because everyone's name is on there. [rofl] And all those who matter seem to already have the list or at least know what is in it.

So, it is hard to know who is blackmailing whom. Israel-Trump? Trump-members of congress? Israel-members of congress? This beacon of democracy has turned into a real shit show. [rofl]
