HAMVATAN,
I was called IRI agent many times because I was against US attacking Iran. I was for the 1st deal with Iran when it was with most of the world powers. I can’t be sure if it would be good for people but I was willing to give it a try. I made the argument that a free trading Iran COULD lead to a free Iran. No guarantees but much better than what Iranians have experienced in the past 10 years. I was hoping for $ to drop or even rise at much slower pace but again, I was accused of wishing that so I can profit more from selling my homes in Iran! Either way, if someone disagrees with someone else, it should not be dismissed or attacked. That is the problem with our generation. As Faramarz said, I believe the younger generations are better than we are when it comes to tolerance and respect for others.

Tolerance for opposing opinions, even provision of protection for opposing opinions, is something that is lost to our generation of Iranians. I hope that the younger generation understand these concepts a bit better.

I also thought his exit from Iran was very opportunistic and for his own good even though he presented it as doing it for Iran. Just a year before his exit, he nominated himself to be the IFF head in the very same IRI. But after his turn down, everything went a different way.

I think I am the only Perspolis fan who always though Ali Karimi was شعبون بی مخ

He was this way in football too.

I read somewhere that Iran needs a cultural revolution before a political one. I agree based on my basic knowledge of the Iranians I know, specifically the ones living in America, and even more specifically the ones living in California.
I’m not going to explain this to our friends here as most have a good understanding of what I’m trying to convey.
We need more unity, more respect and understanding of others as well as more tolerance of different ideas and perspectives.
We have been trained from very early age to compete with each other. That was 100% true in our education and mainly true in the families.
This type of culture makes it much easier for outsiders to pin us against each other and use us as pawns in the game of life.
One thing that bothered me as a child before I understood the reason behind it was the fact that it was very common to make fun of any group of minorities. People from that area are not smart, those are very stingy, those are lazy and…

Most of Shahollahi's suffer from Shaboon BiMokh (شعبون بی مخ) Syndrome.

Ali Karimi has become full-fledged شعبون بی مخ by attacking others who do not bow and kiss the ring of RP. This idiot is calling people who have paid a price with their freedom and life خائن and IRI agent. His list include the likes of Shervin, Toomaj, Narges Moohamadi, Hossein Ronaghi, Tabarzadi, ...
All these people have been subject to imprisonment and torture but the one who fled calls them IRI agent.

Karimi is a simpleton with no education and with yelling and accusation can play a perfect شعبون بی مخ role.

There are demonstrations in Italy because they do not want ICE to be there in the Olympics. This is crazy like IRI where Herasat accompanies the teams.

I was watching super bowl at home while each kid was a party with friends. Funny/interesting enough, depending on what channel it was played, the commercials were different! Also, since the halftime show was mainly in Spanish, some other channel had an “American” version of halftime show! Are we really this divided in this country? I was waiting for ICE to show up and arrest some of the dancers!!!

"I think I have the answer! Someone or a group did make a lot of money from it."

This is always true. This whole thing started during Shah's time and I believe it was true back then as well. Then in IRI, initially they felt they had to continue it and then people who were making money from it gathered around and enabled the continuation.

At this point, it is within any country's right who has signed the nonproliferation treaty to pursue a peaceful nuclear program which is what Iran has been doing. IMO IRI never actually has pursued the bomb. This has been validated over and over again by the international watch dog over two decades. But after existential threats of Israel and the west, it has accelerated its enrichment program which still remains well below what you need for a bomb.

The rest if all propaganda. Just like what they did to Saddam Housain and his nonexisting nuclear WMD.

I never understood why Iran spent so much money on the nuclear program without getting anything in return! Peaceful or not, they wasted billions and what did they get in return? One nuclear power plant that never worked!
