Comments: The region that is under dispute between Azarbaijan and Armenia (GharabAgh) was part of Iran. Like many other regions where an artificial border has been drawn, wars continue and lives are lost. The very interesting part is that while the treaty was between Russia and Iran, An English diplomat drafted the language and was instrumental in making it happen: "The text was prepared by the British diplomat Sir Gore Ouseley who served as the mediator and wielded great influence at the Persian court. It was signed by Nikolai Rtischev for Russia[1] and Mirza Abolhassan Khan Ilchi for Persia."

Comments: WWI created most of the middle east as it is today. Lots of little states with no identity, or some that have an identity but without a well defined region/land. This is the story of the palenstinians, the Armenians, the AzarbaijAn, the Bahrain, the EUA, the Soudi Arabia, Q8, Jordan, Libanon, and many other countries. Most of the wars today can be traced back to what the british did to the region back then. The author is Turkish. It has far less lies.
