DAKAR, Senegal (AP) — When Senegalese farmer Abou Sow first watched U.S. missiles strike Iran on social media, he had a sinking feeling it would soon affect agriculture in the West African nation. Since the war began on Feb. 28, fertilizer prices have risen by 40%. Sow was better prepared than most. Eight years ago, he gave up chemical fertilizers for organic compost and other natural sources. He now rallies farmers in Senegal to buy manure from local herders and gives advice on how to make a rich compost, picking out wriggling worms – a healthy sign. “We can’t afford to wait for a ceasefire,” Sow said. “It’s risky to depend on chemical fertilizers.” Iran’s grip on the Strait of Hormuz has affected the supply of natural gas, essential for making chemical fertilizer, as well as global shipping. The Gulf region produces 30% of globally traded chemical fertilizer, according to the International Food Policy Research Institute, and global prices have increased by 50%, according to the World Bank’s fertilizer price index.

‘Utter chaos’ in northern Israel as Hezbollah launches rocket attacks
Channel 13 reports Prime Minister Netanyahu scheduled an urgent security assessment with Defence Minister Israel Katz, military Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir, and commanders in the north.
“The Israeli army was surprised by the scale of the rocket fire and Hezbollah’s decision to change its fire policy in response to the expansion of the Israeli army’s ground operations in southern Lebanon,” it said.
“Dozens of rockets were fired from Lebanon toward the north on Saturday, and for the first time since the ceasefire began [April 17] these rockets reached the cities of Safad and Nahariya” in northern Israel.
There is “utter chaos and an uncontrollable situation”, it said, adding, “the government is not concerned about this”.
In a related development, Israeli Army Radio reported warning sirens sounded 1,099 times in northern Israel since the start of the “fragile ceasefire”.
Hezbollah, meanwhile, said it launched drone attacks targeting Israeli soldiers near the settlement of Natua and at the Galilee Forest military camp in northern Israel.
In recent weeks, Hezbollah drones have raised growing concern in Israel, with Netanyahu describing the weapons as a “major threat” because of the difficulty in detecting them.

This is a great analysis of the negotiations:
1. Every round that trump has pulled out of the agreement, IRI has upped its demands.
2. Iran's now is ready to vote of a draft of a bill that will claim Hormuz as its territorial water way, paving the way to a toll booth.
3. Iran now has four demands and asks for the actions to happen before any opening of hormuz: a) US military deployment to go back to before Summer 2025, b) Israel pull out of Southern Lebanon, c) Israel to stop attacking on all fronts, d) all regional bases be dismantled. Without these actions, Iran will not sign any deal. The problem they say is that they do not trust anything that Trump puts in writing. They want to see action first.
4. Trump's health check never evaluates frontal lobe dimension. If they did check that, he would be disqualified from presidency.

A federal judge ordered on Friday that the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts remove President Trump’s name from the building’s facade and all official branding and temporarily blocked the institution from shuttering this summer for renovations.
Mr. Trump railed against the judge’s ruling in an incensed social media post, suggesting that he was considering casting the Kennedy Center aside as one of his personal projects. The president wrote that unless he was free to decide the center’s trajectory, he had “no interest in continuing what could only be a hopeless journey.”
“Unfortunately, Judge Cooper and the Radical Left would rather see it DIE than have President Trump transform it into something that everyone could be proud of, much as I have done, in many cases, throughout my life,” he wrote.
Judge Christopher R. Cooper, of the Federal District Court in Washington, determined that the board’s decision to add Mr. Trump’s name to the Kennedy Center violated a law passed by Congress in 1964 that made “crystal clear” the institution was to be named for former President John F. Kennedy.
