Comments: For those who are new to our prediction contest and to refresh the "Old-Timers" of the scoring methodology, here is how the contest gets graded. By the way, we first started this contest back in 2010. The first three World Cups, I did it on the other Board, and starting in 2022, I moved to this "Civilized" board :) For the Group Stage games, I use the following scoring system: 1) A contestant gets 3 points for correctly predicting the outcome of a game (Win, Draw or a loss) 2) If a player correctly predicts the score of one team, he gets 1 point 3) If a player correctly predicts the goal differential of a game, he gets 1 point 4) The maximum points one can get from a single game is 6 points. That is 3 points for the correct outcome, 1 point for each team's goals scored, and 1 more for the correct goal differential NOTE: The point differential is granted only if it is in the right direction. For example, if a player predicts a 2-0 for team-A to win, and the final score is 0-2, he gets no points, even though the goal differentials is two.
