Iran says several arrested in nuclear facility sabotage plotTEHRAN, Iran (AP) — Iranian state television reported Monday that the paramilitary Revolutionary Guard arrested members of a “network” working for Israel that planned to sabotage Iran’s major underground nuclear facility at Fordo. The TV claimed that the “Zionist regime” — a Tehran reference meaning Israel — has for years been trying to hit Fordo, a top nuclear facility in the country, but without success. The report did not say how many suspects were arrested, what their nationalities were or when and where the arrests supposedly took place. There was no immediate comment from Israel. Iran has recently stopped the International Atomic Energy Agency from accessing its surveillance camera footage and has resumed enrichment of uranium at Fordo as Tehran’s nuclear deal with world powers fell apart and talks of returning to the deal paused. Iran however, has said it would keep the surveillance footage and hand it over to the IAEA if and when it’s granted sanctions relief. The TV report said that those arrested approached employees at Fordo’s IR-6 section, where it is believed that centrifuges for spinning uranium are developed, paying them in cash or cryptocurrency, and instructing them how to connect with an Israeli agent, who was acting as a manager of a company based in Hong Kong. Once “cooperation” between an unspecified number of Fordo staffers and the agents began, the entire communication was monitored by the Revolutionary Guard, which provides security at Iran’s nuclear facilities. Comments: Thank you Sahryar jan. The point I am trying to make is don't get bogged down with rumors or false assumptions. Try to deal with reality with outmost clarity. We have to put emotions aside or else we disappoint ourselves with false assumptions. There is a difference between what reality is and what we want the reality to look like. We have to be honest with ourselves. As I mentioned in my youth I was an activist but then felt betrayed because I only focused idealism and slogans where in reality things were different. Now by saying this that does not mean again that the alternative (US imperialism and capitalism) was better. I only learned that the ideology I was infatuated with was false. We did everything at young age to overthrow the pahlavi regime. We all went back, but two year later we had to flee because our lives was in danger. Not that Pahlavi regime was not brutal but at least our lives was not in danger by just being a voice of opposition. We cannot promote strong military in Iran and forget and ignore the suffering of the noble people of Iran the noble term which in one reply was as maskhareh. The Chomskys of the world have been and still are against US foreign policies. But that does not make them an ally of Iran simply because they are also at odds with USA. Human suffering in Iran China North Korea or Russia is still condemned by these legends. Deal with Reality with outmost clarity or else you disappoint and betray yourself.

Tehran, Iran – Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian will head to Moscow on Tuesday for talks with his Russian counterpart, the Iranian foreign ministry has announced, as it doubled down on its position that the United States is preventing an agreement in the nuclear deal talks held in Vienna. Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatbizadeh told reporters on Monday that Amirabdollahian’s meeting with Sergey Lavrov will mainly focus on the discussions in the Austrian capital to restore the Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), as the deal is formally known. Khatibzadeh said the pause in the talks announced by European coordinators on Friday does not signal an impasse. He also portrayed Russia’s last-minute demand that sanctions related to its invasion of Ukraine will not affect its future dealings with Iran, pointing to other proposals brought on the table by the various negotiating sides since the beginning of the talks in April 2021. The spokesman stressed that reports by Western media that the talks are mostly held up by Russia’s demand are part of the US strategy.

Comments: Wars have changed in the past few decades. With a new age, winning a war has lost its meaning. It used to be simply about gaining land. Without the amount of information traveling with the speed of light, it was easier to take land, make few changes and move on. I’m not sure what is the end game for any wars these days. America started few wars in the past 20+ years. More than any country in the world. They concurred, occupied and eventually had to leave the ruins to others. What was/is winning the war for Russia look like? Did/do they have an end game in mind? Regime change? Add land to motherland? One can’t win people’s mind and integrate them into the larger group by killing their kids, wives, husbands and parents, not anymore. If the world learned anything from American’s failure in Afghanistan, Iraq and the rest is that eventually, they will be forced out. They will make enemies for life. The only difference and possible hope Putin has is the fact that Ukraine is similar to Russia in many ways and sitting right next to them.

در نوزدهمین روز جنگ اوکراین، روسیه دامنه حملات خود را گستردهتر کرده است. حملات هوایی روسیه به یک پایگاه نظامی در نزدیکی مرز لهستان که باعث جانباختن دستکم ۳۵ نفر شد، نگرانی از گسترش جنگ را بیشتر کرده است. آمریکا مدعی شده که روسیه برای برتری در جنگ اوکراین، از چین درخواست کمک نظامی کرده؛ اما چین میگوید از چنین درخواستی بیاطلاع است. دور تازه مذاکرات اوکراین و روسیه، امروز (دوشنبه) به شکل ویدئوکنفرانس برگزار میشود و دو طرف به شکل محتاطانهای ابراز خوشبینی کردهاند. «رمضان قدیروف» رهبر منطقه چچن و متحد رئیسجمهور روسیه نیز از سفر خود به اوکراین برای دیدار با نیروهای نظامی چچنی خبر داده است.
