Comments: We really need CQ...; Some rich Irani should approach him and pay him under the table and tell him to offer his services for free, and only ask for bonus if they advance. The cheap people in IFF would jump on that right away!!!
Comments: Zinsky, I also wanted an African team, more specifically, Cameroon. I saw two of their games, and they are NOT the team they used to be. They will be easy to beat, in my opinion.
Comments: I was hoping to avoid playing the US due to the atmosphere around these tow countries that would be unavoidable. Although a win would be tremendous in the psychic of our people and the governing body the reaction to a loss is unpredictable. At the end a strategically minded coach is very much needed! The latter will afford Iran of a win over the US, and perhaps two ties with England and the other Euro team. With the current coach going into the finals is very scary.
Comments: Hamvattan called the England Group, plus his desire to be with them, and sure enough he got it, and we are all happy ![]() I saw several of American's games and frankly, I do not see them beating our TM. Anything could happen of course, especially if they have a referee that favors them, like he did during our last encounter with them in the WC. As you recall, the referee did not call a penalty on their goalie on Azizi, which should have accompanied a red card. Also, he gave Estili a yellow card when he was being subbed, and was running to get out of the field, for "delay"; that mother...ker!!! ![]() Please excuse my outburst..., I hope we get a "fair" referee this time.
Comments: Hamvatan: "But remember, English speaking is a handicap in football! "![]() If you call me framers, u have to call Rashti, Rishi.
Comments: I was perfectly fine with England & USA but was hoping for an African team on the pot 4. Our 4th pot selection will be higher ranked than Iran.
Comments: I like our schedule a lot as well. I think it is great that we play England first.
Comments: This is he huge American Achilles heel, even in politics. This is why they so easily lose in international politics to countries with much less resources. Take losing Iran in the middle east, as a good example. Miscalculation after miscalculation all based on false sense of security and dominance. I hope that we can get our coaching straight and get some good friendlies under our belt.
Comments: Thanks Shahryar jan. Today is my lucky day. Aside from the lucky predictions, I had said the best draw for us was England (the most beatable in pot 1), US (they are weak and young; will be good for next WC) and Cameroon (weakest African team). However, this was even better than my wish. The prep will be much easier with similar styles of Eng, US, Wales, Scots (as framers alluded ). The only outlier is Ukraine which is not top notch but will have a big fan base based on their hardships and victimization. But remember, English speaking is a handicap in football! ![]() Outside of the help from ref in 1966 (England in England), no other English speaking team has won WC or I don't even think they have made it to final since then. Also they all play the same style and will probably tie the sh!t out of each other in our favor! We just need one win and 2 ties. I like it that just like in 1998, all US analysts are counting on Iran as a punching bag. They never learn.
Comments: Love that picture Keefer jAn! KAmkAr and Keefer, we are competing for the bottom spot. :) Didn't I say I always compete for the bottom spot?

Comments: I am in too many meetings today, but will respond more, later this evening. Just wanted to say, I am elated with our Draw; I think we could not have asked for a better draw, and should be very happy with it. Just a quick report on the prediction results. We have a winner, and that is our own HAMVATAN, that scored a total of 6 points. This as you can imagine was extremely difficult, and getting any point would have been great, as most of you did. But to get 6 points is excellent. Congratulations to HAMVATAN aziz. Below is the final tally: 1) HAMVATAN - 6 Points 2) Shahryar - 5 Points 3) Zinsky - 3 Points rashti - 3 Points lol the original - 3 Points 6) Keefer - 1 Point Faramarz - 1 Point 8) kAmkAr (only one Group) - 0 Points Thank you all for participating. The next contest will be a lot more fun, since we will be predicting the World Cup games..., that is if you guys are interested.
Comments: Alright fools😂😀😂😀😂😀😂😀 Who is the Wiener of prediction🤩🥸🤩🥸🤩🥸 Shahryar is it. He guessed USA. This is like getting one number out of 6 right in a lottery. 🤩🤩🤩🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🤩🤩🤩🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 Ab

Comments: :) :) Observer did April fools day get translated into Dorough sizdah?
Comments: And we avoided all Spanish speaking teams who have beat us in all their previous matches: Peru 1978 Mexico 2006 Argentina 2014 Spain 2018
Comments: I think the news about CQ is doroogh 13 ![]() This is the best group for Iran(If Wales or Scotland make it) based on our past stats in the WC finals. We have never lost to any Englsih speaking team in the WC finals: Scotland 1978 USA 1998 Angola 2006 Migeria 2014
Comments: Do you guys know who plays Ghatar in their first game? If they lose that game, they r done. Saudis r also screwed.
Comments: I think with this choice, our chances will be very good. I predict a tie with England and two wins against the USA and Wales. |
