Al-Watan: The end of Shoja work in Al-Rayyan

Qatar's Al-Watan newspaper reported the end of Khalilzadeh's brave presence in Al Rayyan.

According to ISNA, after leaving Persepolis, Shoja Khalilzadeh left for Qatar to wear the Al Rayyan shirt. According to Al-Watan newspaper, Khalilzadeh's  contract with Al Rayyan was for two seasons and the player's mission in Al Rayyan ended.

The Qatari newspaper predicted that Shoja contract with Al-Rayyan would not be extended and announced that the player's work was over.

Shoja Khalilzadeh underwent surgery due to his injuries and was recently discharged from the hospital.

Nasa spots record breaking, huge comet headed towards Earth

Nasa has spotted a record-breakingly large comet headed towards Earth.

Its icy nucleus is bigger than any ever seen – measuring around 80 miles across, and 50 times bigger than the heart of most known comets. It is also thought to have a mass of about 500 trillion tons – a hundred thousand times more massive than the typical comet found closer to the Sun.

And the object, known as C/2014 UN271 (Bernardinelli-Bernstein), is headed in this direction, quickly. Travelling at 22,000 miles per hour, it is moving from the edge of the solar system towards its the centre.

However, we should be entirely safe. The comet will not get closer than a billion miles from the Sun – further away even than the planet Saturn – and that will not happen until 2031.

Laser light beams are highly focused.  This focused characteristic is know as collimation. Meaning the laser beam does not diverge (i.e. does not expand/or spread side-wise) and the photons rays within it will remain parallel to its direction of propagation for long distances.

Why is this important to know when it comes to Egypt-Senegal game?  Well, nearly all the lights directed at the Egyptian players were expanded in beam diameter and size for such short distances from stands.  This mean, those individuals involved shinning the beams, were using a cheap version of LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) that are used for commercial and hubby purposes.  LED generated light expand and diverge rather quickly in short distances.  That is why the light beams on players faces were quite large in diameters and expanded. 

The further the players were from the source (spectators), the larger the diameter of the beams appeared.  This was in a sense good for the players' safety!  Because the energy intensity (power) of the beams were not highly focused compared to an actual Laser beam would have been, hence their skin and vision (eyes) were "to some" degree safe from the lengthy exposure to the beam rays.  Any exposure greater than quarter of a second to a highly collimated and focused laser beam will have a long and last damage to the eye. Especially, if the laser is made of Nd:YAG with Kerr Crystals as they cause second harmonic generation rays (photons) by doubling the frequency and shorting the wavelength.  The shorter the wavelength of a ray  of beam is the higher its energy signature will be.  Blue- and X-rays have shorter wavelengths hence more dangerous to human and most living creatures and life in general.  That is why one can store more data on a Blue-ray disc than a DVD.

All that said and in conclusion, what the spectators are doing is extremely dangerous regardless of the type of light devices (laser, LED, or even focused regular light sources).  This should never be allowed and FIFA should sanction any federations for this life threatening act of violence by its spectator body.
