Comments: Dear lol. I sometimes read your news pieces and I laugh because it has comic twists to it but I am realizing these are factual news pieces. Today's news pieces are very disturbing. My father was a Teacher in previous regime and then retired due to ideological cleansing. He was teaching French at Jeanne d'Arc. He was asked to switch and teach Arabic at which time was forced to retire. Imprisoning and beating of teachers who are only asking for their paycheck is just wrong by any measures. It reminded me of seeing the tears in my father's eyes when he told us he can no longer do what he loves. Teaching is not a job. It is love. It is the love of teaching. That is the teacher piece. Then the piece about arresting two geniuses. The typical Iranian geniuses who we are proud of. Fifteen years of prison each? Destroying a youngsters life and dreams just like that? What happened to us?
