Comments: Faramarz, in agreement with your assessment on Javanan TM. I guess Kia agrees with you and is planning for Olympic qualifications.

Comments: Merci Keefer jAn. Unfortunately, it is not a fluke that we do not do well in youth competitions. A lot is blamed on the federations that have reigned over our football since the revolution, and rightly so. But we also have to recognize that the problem extends to before revolution. The youth infrastructure was not there. I remember a bunch of overaged players shaved their mustaches and traveled to the Asian JavAnAn competion during the ShAh era. They still did not win but the reason IFF did that was because they knew they did not have the youth to compete in the tournament. My friend who is now close to IFF remembers that they shared the same flight with the israeli javAnAn team going to the competition. He says they looked like kids compared to Iran's older players which shaven thick mustaches. :) So, it is not that we had infrastructure ever. Someone needs to actually build it which is actually a lot harder than managing the older national team. A nation-wide network of organizations need to be created who school the kids, there has to be incentive for them to do it, all need to be staffed with people who like to do that sort of thing rather than with people who have failed at the top level, figure out how this will work in terms of timing so it does not interfere with school of the kids, etc. More importantly, requires a manager who can run a national organization and that manager needs to have money and not be corrupt so to not let the money be sucked out by leaches. This to me, sounds very difficult under the current conditions. It is not that federations do not want to do this. It is that it is very challenging in current situation and economy. So, unfortunately, my eyes do not drink water for the youth teams for a long time to come.

Comments: The Transfermarket website announced the approximate value of the 2022 World Cup teams, based on which, in the second group, England was named the most expensive team and Iran the cheapest. In the second group, the English football team with an approximate value of 1.3 billion euros is the most expensive team in the second group of the Qatar World Cup. Harry Kane (striker) with 100 million Euros, Phil Foden (midfielder) 90 and Rahim Sterling (Winger) with 85 million Euros are the most valuable players of the Three Lions. In this group, the US national football team is in second place with a figure of about 211 million euros. Kristin Polisch (winger) and captain of the team with 45 million euros is in the first place, followed by Weston McCain (midfielder) and Brendan Aronson (attacking midfielder) with an approximate value of 25 million euros with other valuable players of this team. Wales, who qualified for the World Cup after beating Ukraine, are in third place with € 143 million. Ben Davis (left back) with 20, Daniel James (left winger) with 18 and Harry Wilson (striker) with 17 million euros are the most expensive players of this European team. Interestingly, former Real Madrid star Gareth Bale, who is currently without a team, is valued at 3 million euros. In the Iranian team, Sardar Azmoun (striker) is introduced as the most expensive and valuable player in Iran with 25 million Euros, followed by Mehdi Taremi (striker) with 20 million Euros. After these two stars, we come across the Iranian national football team named Alireza Jahanbakhsh (winger), who is in the next category with 4 million Euros.
Comments: Faramarz, thanks for the Rrumi concert videos! It is hard to transpose Rumi's poetry into such projects. Also, so very true: ".....these players need to be developed in youth programs and then Kia manage them in TM. But we have players who have okay individual skill with the ball but have no clue how to play football on a big field"
Comments: Porto striker Mehdi Taremi's confrontation with Sporting striker Islam Soleimani in the Iran-Algeria match The Iranian national football team will play against the Algerian national team on June 12 in a friendly match in Doha. This match is a confrontation between several players of the two teams that play in Portugal, especially Mehdi Taremi, the Iranian striker of Porto, and Islam Soleimani, the Algerian striker of Sporting Lisbon. Porto and Sporting had a very close and even hostile rivalry for the Portuguese league title this season, culminating in an unsportsmanlike and insulting Lisbon statement against Taremi However, Porto had a brilliant year as Taremi, surpassing Sporting and Benfica to win the Portuguese League and Cup. The confrontation between the strikers of Porto and Sporting with the shirts of their national teams also has its own charms and has become the subject of the Portuguese newspaper "Ojoogo". "The first date for the re-match of the Iranian team has been determined," the newspaper wrote, referring to Taremi and Soleimani's tackle. The Iranians were embroiled in a dilemma with the canceled games (against Canada and Ecuador) - something that led to Taremi's criticism - and it has now been announced that they will face Algeria on June 12. The match will take place at the Qatari Club Stadium. "In this way, Mehdi Taremi from Porto and Ali Alipour, the new player of Jill Vicente, will compete with Islam Soleimani from Sporting and Yannis Hamache from Boavista." Algeria will play Tanzania in their second match of the African Cup of Nations qualifiers on Wednesday. It is said that Algeria uses players who did not have the opportunity to play in the game against Iran for this reason, and will probably give rest to its main players.
Comments: With U23 teams u never know, but yes, it is unlikely. The challenge is that I am not sure this is Kia's fault. In general, it is really difficult to do player development in any TM since it needs time. These players need to be developed in youth programs and then Kia manage them in TM. But we have players who have okay individual skill with the ball but have no clue how to play football on a big field.
Comments: Situation in Iran seems to be getting worse by the day. Inflation is at all times high. More sanctions are coming since diplomacy failed and killing of the scientists and military ranks continues. I don’t see anything good in near future. More pain and suffering is coming and football is the last thing in their mind.
Comments: Uzbekistan vs Iran U23 today. Iran needs to win which seems less than likely and that would not be enough by itself. It’s pretty sad to see our youth team with so many talented players eliminated in group stage but …

Comments: Japan - Brazil looks like a very physical game. Japan did very well losing only 1 - 0 and that by a PK. Faghani was the ref. We should be proud. And the Japanese swarming defense is what saved them. Japan is a good team and we were extremely lucky not to end up in Group B. We would have never made it to WC. https://youtu.be/TBGmooNQ6Z8 |
