The world hasn’t changed much in the past few thousand years, characters did. There were/are more powerful countries (empires) who force their will on others. They come and go. Persian, Roman, Greek, British empires used their power (military and more) to invade countries and expand. At some point, all went too far and couldn’t sustain the power and the cost of their expansion. Back before ships & planes, the expansions were to the neighboring countries. Europeans started going far away from home to take land. That trend continues. Some poor soldiers sent hundreds of thousands of miles away to occupy a foreign land. Humanity is not getting worse, they just developed techniques to be worse.

That is great news Observer. But keep in mind that it is not restored, it is newly rebuilt and reconstructed and funded through Cultural Preservation Programme of Germany. It is a great program actually and started like 40 years ago and with its global commitment to the protection and maintenance of significant cultural heritage, Germany provides an important contribution to the preservation of global cultural identities. They have done similar work on some of the sites all over the world. Some countries like Italy did not jump on the idea of rebuilding or reconstructing their heritage from ground up. Like the coliseum in Italy. They chose to keep the ruins as is. But Bam Citadel became unvisitable after the earthquake and they had no choice but rebuild it from the ground up with new additive reinforcing material. Not certain if they reconstructed in the same location or right next to it. I still think it is a good idea as it is a reminder of our glorious history before Islam and even though some call it a 'Replica', it is still a torn in the eye of the anti Iran and anti Iranian elements. Thanks again for sharing.

The story of Bam and it's reconstruction is something that none of the anti-Iran and anti-Iranian elements ever like to talk about.
In 2003, I remember the mozdor Kasra Naji stating on CNN that "Bam will never be reconstructed and it's gone forever".
People like him must be totally goozpeech today

Please see the source for details along with more pictures.جشن قهرمانی خاتونیها در حالی برگزار شد که این تیم پیش از این با نام شهرداری بم در مسابقات شرکت میکرد و با کسب هشت قهرمانی از مجموع چهارده دوره برگزار شده مسابقات لیگ برتر زنان جام کوثر، رکورددار قهرمانی در فوتبال زنان ایران به شمار میروند. اگرچه مراسم جشن قهرمانی و اهدا جام در 16 خرداد ماه و در ورزشگاه تختی ایلام جشن گرفته شده بود اما مراسم دو روز قبل جشن و تقدیر از ورزشکاران در خود شهر بم و با حضور مردم این شهر بود. اتفاقی جالب توجه که با حضور حدود 30 هزار نفر از علاقمندان و مردم شهر بم در ورزشگاه فجر این شهر برگزار شد. چنین تصاویری میتواند عکسِ قاب شدهی هر خانهای در بَم باشد؛ نمادِ فرهنگِ یک شهر. نمادِ احترام به زنانِ یک شهر. نمادِ زیستِ مسالمتآمیز. مراسم جشن قهرمانی و تجلیل از بازیکنان و کادر فنی تیم فوتبال زنان خاتون بم در ورزشگاه فجر این شهر برگزار شد؛ با حضور خانوادهها. زن و مرد کنار هم. بدون حاشیهای، بدونِ مسئلهای و بدونِ اینکه هیچ فرد و نهاد و ارگانی حساس شود. این بزرگترین تمرینِ باهم بودن است. یک شهر میتواند ورزشگاهش نمادِ تماشایِ یک شهر برای اعدام باشد و یک شهر هم میتواند نمادِ پاسداشتِ موفقیتهای زنانش باشد. کدام تصویر پیامِ زیباتری برای جامعه دارد؟

There is no patriotism. These guys give everything away for survival. They gave Caspian Sea away and they will give anything to survive. Poor Iranian people. And the government deceives them and make them scared and believe that if anything happens to these occupiers, tammamiat Arzi of iran will be in danger. This is what Soviet used to tell the eastern bloc. They are just ripping people and natural resources.
