Comments: NN has played 7-8 years in Spain, was CQ's assistant, and has now coached FoolAd, with some success internationally. So, if he accepts, he is the best of the rest.

Comments: KAmkAr jAn, totally agree and my preference by far too is CQ. I wish that they get some sense into Tarbiat badani and IFF. But in absence of CQ and then Daei, I think we have to accept that this is a lost cause and hope to gain some experience and call it the day. Unfortunately, poor planning is not leaving much else to hope for.

Comments: Faramarz, The WC is not a place to gain experience. The ONLY way for us not to get embarrassed by all three teams in our group is to have an almost water tight defensive strategy. We know who can do great defense for us! Ask Argentina, Spain, and Portugal.
Comments: That is a very tough draw for us, having to play the #1, Poland. We beat them once, but they will look very different now that it is the elimination round.
Comments: Given the situation, the only one on the horizon that makes some sense is NN. We still might lose all three but at least we will have given a vatani coach some good experience. I am uncertain why GolMo is not in the discussions. Does anyone know? He did well with Perspolis and his achievements have been even better than NN, having won the league.

Comments: I don’t know, maybe this sounds like wishful thinking but, it would have been good if we could have CQ, if not as a head coach but, as a technical advisor at this point, next to our vatani coach(s). Off course he would not accept such arrangement but it would have served three purposes, one being that he finds himself in the world cup, second, us not getting creamed due to his defensive mind set and 3rd we have gone in with an Iranian head coach, satisfying a lot of other people. |
