I don’t know much about basketball. Never played a game. Based on what I read online, our defense was full of holes. We actually lost pretty badly (20 points or so).

Zinsky jAn, I think that is our best record. If I remember correctly, we finished first in the group stage but then ended up fifth.

KAmkAr jAn, is this the Asian qualifiers?

Merci Zinsky jAn. This is tomorrow, right?

Against Poland, we had probably our best match! We had a bunch of aces. Poland also did not look very sharp. There were some unforced errors. I hope they show up the same way for this one. :)

Zinski,

thanks for the reminder. I wish our lads good luck and hope the rematch with Poland would be as good as the first game. I like to see us at least in the top three.

Game is at 3PM eastern. Lunch break for you 😁.

I’m hopeful but realize it won’t be easy. We had some amazing games and some really bad ones. Hard to predict.

Zinsky jAn, when is the match with Poland? Beating the top ranked team for a second time is not an easy thing to do.

Reigning world champion Poland and reigning Asian continental champion Iran will meet in the 2022 Volleyball Nations league (VNL) semifinals on Thursday.

The European team, who was VNL silver medalist in 2021 and bronze medalist in 2019, finished this year’s Preliminary Phase on 10-2 and 31 points, just below leader Italy on set ratio.

It suffered one of its two defeats at the hands of Iran in a rollercoaster five-setter played earlier this month in Gdansk, volleyballworld.com reported.

The Asian squad advanced to its second VNL Finals as the seventh-placed team on 7-5 and 20. It achieved its best result in the competition in 2019, when it finished the first stage in second place, but then dropped to fifth in the final standings.

In the semifinals, the winner of Italy vs. Netherlands will take on the winner of France vs. Japan, and the winner of Poland vs. Iran will take on the winner of the US vs. Brazil.

If history is an indication of anything, every empire becomes weaker and becomes irrelevant when they try to rule the world. They try to expand their powers much farther than they can control. They make more and more enemies until the weak enemies unit and become stronger than them…

In Biochemistry, in every organism, you have a set of molecules that are hydrophobic. These are molecules that do not like water. Oil is one. When you look at these molecules in nature, they all seem to aggregate together and form circles and spheres. They look like, they exclusively like to bond with each other. This cannot be further from the truth. The truth is that actually, the driving force is not their attraction to each other but their common dislike of water. This forces them to coagulate together and form these perfect structures where most (expect for the ones on the edge) are safe from touching water.

Current world politics is similar. The United States has created so many enemies that even though they do not necessarily like each other, because of their stronger hatred of the US, they are being pushed together to form alliances: Iran, China, Venezuela, Russia, ... The problem for the united states is that Two economic heavy weights and carrying veto power at the UN are among the hydrophobic molecules! With a few more, these new alliances will become so powerful that the United States will no longer matter. For instance, if Europe continues its move toward China in spite of United States disagreement with it, it buying power will overcast that of the US. As soon as China feels that Europe is entirely reliant on China for its goods and cannot disconnect, it will occupy Taiwan. US will put it on sanctions, but Europe cannot follow. China will push this envelop as soon as it can. at that moment, all those who are in a close relationship will start suffering and those in bed with China and Russia will not feel a thing!
