Arash, Dear

The topics Nadimi puts his efforts on are EXACTLY what I like to know about and he is doing a wonderful and professional job, if I may. Looking at the western forces, Africa, West Asia, Central and South East Asia, including Russia, China, Japan and Australia. The outside players and forces that Iran need to deal with, even though in many occasions he also touches upon the internal players. However, I think you would make an excellent volunteer to study the internal elements of power within IRI and educate us here in that direction. I don’t know much about the dude Mojtaba and his possible future inclination and I leave that to the interested parties within Iran and the Foreign Affairs Office in the US to find out. I am sure there is a set protocol in choosing a Rahbar in Iran that they would follow when needed. Personally I think Raisi is groomed for that position and his current direction is clear.

For heavens sake I, personally , don’t want any more puppeteers specially that of American. We’ve had enough of that brutality of arrogance in the last 70 years. As for the choice of reformers I think the voters have spoken loudly already. They have failed miserably and pathetically. Iranian educated is what’s needed in this arena. Rohani and Zarif need to get their monies back from the institutions that certified them!

Let me end with the brilliant Melbourne journalist/writer, Caitlin Johnstone, pointing out – “The USA is the most aggressive, corrupt and murderous regime in the world, not only engaged in a perpetual war with half of the world (the weaker half off course) but also now actively pacifying and persecuting their own population. While the USA government, owned by criminal corporate multinationals like the Blackrock and Vanguard loves to call themselves democratic, in fact they wouldn't know democracy if it hit them on the head.”

May the force be with us!

Keefer khan problem is Nadimi talks about everything and everyone from Sadr to Assad but does not mention anything about players in within Iran. Like How the country is going to shape with emergence of Mojtba Khamenei taking over and what will the outlook look like. Will we become a militarized country, will Khamenei just pass the baton to him? I know your interest is mostly on Iran's foreign affairs, but at the end Mojtaba Khamenei will be making the calls on foreign affairs.  Will he be an American puppet? will he continue his father's alignment with Russia? Will he side with reformers?

I can not possibly allude to all the problems we are facing today with my broken English or Parsi. Another reason is that I am not fully versed in the stuff. My filed of training was  biochemistry, but also spent a few years hanging around the politically active native friends and professors. I was basically educated by them about their own country and not from the Shah or Ayatollahs. For that very reason, I try to find a balance between their views and our own intelectuals.

If I place a link from  M. Nadimi and others here  is because they are from within the country, familiar with the thoughts of the establishment and yet have bridged themselves to the younger generation speaking with the same language. If you have counter arguments from others, please place it here for more scrutiny. We can have a dialogue away from dogma.

Zinsky khan, you are one hundred percent right. 43 years of misery and still marching towards democracy and independence. At the end you will have to see what is important. Having the bomb and live like North Korea for another 50 years or forget the bomb and be a player in international arena. Maybe like a Qatar, who is friends with Iran, Israel, USA, China, Russia, Europe. As you hit the nail right on the head, the regime doesn’t give a damn about how people feel. They only want to survive and they are doing it one way or another. It is all about the survival of these corrupt criminals and everyone in Iran including my relatives and your relatives know this. I hope they agree with the deal and people feel relieved.

I love all my hamvatan brethren here and there, for very simple reasons: You are what Iran is all about. From Azari, Kurd, Fars, Arabs, Lords and many other hamvatans. We have been together for thousands of yeas, in safeguarding of our forefather’s land. We have been through thick and thin of our history! From the attacks of Genghis, Arabs, SagDumb, Americans, Russians, to Greece and Romans. Every one group of our people have intermarried, created, Saadis, Hafez, Ferdowsi, Mirza Koochakhans, and the brave soldiers guarding every centimeter of the land that today has something to say. You all, wherever you are, represent a rich history and culture. Stay together!

I agree with you on the fact that people of Iran are the only ones who can decide their fate. Won’t be easy for sure but I’m totally against any foreign interference.
With that said, the regime in Iran is trying to negotiate a deal. They do need to be part of the world. They (and even average Iranians) would benefit. Economy is bad in Iran. I don’t think anyone can argue against that. Unfortunately, majority of the pain is felt by middle class and poor. The rich and connected are doing just fine.
Does this regime wants a deal? It seems they do. Does it mean they are desperate? Doesn’t seem like it.

Zinsky,
In the article I placed down there:
No, Iranians aren’t negotiating from a weak economic position, please follow the link in the red section:

a Bloomberg article on August 25, “A Sick Economy Is Forcing Tehran’s Hand in Nuclear Deal Talks,
This way you/us can see, in a way a more complete picture.

The system I live under, did not, is not and will not allow us, in that geopolitical situation to have democracy either with Mosaddegh, shah, Safavid, Ghajar or akhunds. I am hoping with the security that is being brought about by military power, less reliance on government, reduces the criminal thieves leading to economic prosperity. It will take some time. This is simply unavoidable. All of us are burnt generation and it does take a bit of time to free ourselves from the bondage of big powers. Hopefully this time around we, ourselves, will be part of the world order, based on our resources and our people’s hard work.

Zinsky,

Propose to them (government or the people) what needs to be done. Do you really think what I say here the akhunds listen to me?  I go to Iran myself too and I witness the same things. Because of the situation, every time we are there is spent on listening to their problems and doing something about it, to the point that after close to 50 years of being here I don’t have much to show for materially, not that I desire it! You know what I am saying?
The position I take here is the international front. You can act locally . You can, for example say we ought to overthrow the government. And I would say whatever the position of the people is and it is within their means to do. As long as the majority go it the long. I am not joking here.
