Comments: LOL Jan, We will definitely have the World Cup Prediction Contest, and will probably start it shortly. I was just too buys recently , but also wanted to get a little closer to the games before making our predictions. Too many things could change between now and the start of the games, and yes, including coaching :) I will welcome everyone's suggestions as to when we should start the contest. I was thinking that I will get everyone's predictions for the first game of the tournament only, for the first round, and after that, (2nd game and on), we will do it in real time, most likely the day before the games, as we had done in previous Cups. How about two weeks prior to start to the World Cup to make our first-game predictions?

As soon as I saw that article yesterday regarding CQ, I felt it was legitimate and decided to post it here. I too however share the concerns it is too late for CW to make any substantial change and difference; but knowing him (the magician), he will have something up his sleeves. Also, he brings a certain amount of confidence with him to the TM< and will raise everyone's game; and that by itself will be enough to get us past USA ( I believe). The games against England and Wales will be tough regardless, but if we can get a result against Wales because of CQ (eve a draw), that would be awesome).
Comments: Lets assume CQ is the head coach starting next week. How many of the players from his last team are still around and fit to join TM? I assume he hasn't spent much time evaluating the players since 2019. Based on my memory (not as sharp), there are 5-6 players he knows very well and will use in his team. He needs to figure out the rest rather quickly.
