Comments: Good investigative work, Zinsky. At the least, he should be familiar with both teams and their styles of playing. Also, CQ used to be the assistant coach of Manchester United. This means he should be very familiar with English style of playing, which I hop[e he can utilize fully during our first game against the Brits.
Comments: Aggregate: 1 - 1, Senegal wins 3 - 1 on penalties Against Egypt
Comments: World Cup Qual. CONMEBOL 13/11/20 Colombia 0-3 Uruguay
Comments: CQ as head coach lost to Senegal and Uruguay, I think. It should be fun to see how he does against them as Iranian coach.
Comments: I agree. Not playing against them does nothing for anyone. It only hurts the athletes who have to take a loss and even possibly be kicked out. One of these days we will end up in a WC grouped with Israel. That would really piss me off.
Comments: The humiliation that Iran is imposing on Israel it's supporters and it's athletes is much more for painful for them than beating them in sports. Iran is telling them we do not recognize the legitimacy of the entity your athletes are representing. Their entire existence is to gain legitimacy and Iran is denying them that recognition.
Comments: Regarding mixing of the politics and sports; well, they have never been separated. Someone brought up the recent example of Russia and FIFA; perfect example. Apartheid regimes were always there, and sometimes the tide and sentiment is against them, and things get done. I have always condemned the Apartheid regime that represents Israel, and for what they have done to innocents. The question I have is: have we made any progress the last 40 years by not competing against their athletes? All it did, it made us look backwards (rightfully so). If you bring the example of Russia and Ukraine, I cannot argue with it. All I can say is that the all-powerful propaganda machine of the USA and the West is behind it, which is why Poland and Sweden felt "safe" to boycott their games against them. Technically, Poland and Sweden should have been eliminated by not showing up (just like Iranian athletes whom chose not to face Israeli athletes were eliminated). But the West is more powerful and they can get away with it. The morale of the story is that you are a single voice against inhumanity that Israel is all about, you are not heard and pushed aside; as IRAN has been for the past 40 years. Perhaps the time has come to show Israeli athletes, the IRANIAN superiority by facing them and humiliating them.
Comments: Observer, I am definitely with you on that; I know from listening to people talk from inside IRAN, a new sense of hope has risen in the last few days. People are getting excited about our chances. We may still lose all games, but I am hoping for 4 and perhaps even 6 points and advancement for the first time!!!!!!! You heard it here, first
Comments: Keefer JAn, We can certainly use the hope, but even more importantly, our players can use the hope. From their perspective, they see a legitimate and experienced World Cup quality coach leading them, and this alone increases their confidence, which is instrumental in playing well. To answer your question on whether CQ can be successful or not, uniting the team, putting a solid defensive-minded team together, plus having enough offense to be dangerous, the answer is yes, definitely. As a coach myself (Semi-Pro plus AYSO); I can see what he tries to do. Perhaps one of the reasons I like CQ so much, is because I appreciate his coaching style and see what he has accomplished during his 8-years in Iran. And he is certainly capable of doing it again. The only caveat is we only have two months left (I wish he had joined TM three months ago, right after Egypt failed to qualify, which was my wish).
Comments: Shahryar Khan. So happy to see CQ at the helm. I really have hope. He has done a great job for our football
Comments:
Comments: Sorry meant Sweden and Poland.
Comments: I am in agreement. Poland and Russia shouldn’t have.
Comments: I said shut down the BS factory. Why Poland and Sweden refused to play Russia, Iran refuses to play the zionist animals for the same reason, try again.
Comments: No argument, but by the same token other countries who see Islamic Republic as a gender apartheid, anti LGBTQ, and juvenile killer through execution may do the same. Like what if the opponent is Baha’i or Kurd which we know Islamic republic oppresses them. what if sportsmen like these refuse to wrestle us? Even palestinians themselves they wrestle against Israel and compete against Israel in sports. That does not mean they are accepting occupation. And then above all we killed our own wrestling champion Navid Afkari. What if that become a reason that we killed an Iranian wrestling champion. I say if palestinians don’t object we should not either. Last thing we want is to have Yazdani wrestle for Mongolia.
Comments: These anti-Iranian fools have the memory of a little black fish. It was just a few months ago the Russia was wiped out of the sports world because of politics. Poland and Sweden refused to play them and FIFA just kicked them out. All because Russia decided to defend itself against terrorists by occupying their land. Which is exactly what the barbaric and murderous Apartheid regime been doing in Palestine for more than 50 years. Iran has the right to refuse to play with these animals as much as Sweden and Poland had in not playing Russia. Shut down the BS factory.
Comments: Shahryar jan, Merci refigh for the powerful video. Brought me to tears!
Comments: Observer, As much as I like for us to wrestle the man, the athlete that he is in himself, but doing that gives acceptance to the illegal occupation of the baby killer and apartheid regime he represents. That does not negate the belief in, and the possibility of our wrestler beating the athlete. The question is, are we that desperate? As a nation with 7 thousand years of written civilizational history, a nation that the founding father of it, Cyrus The Great, freed this bunch from the bandage of slavery, should we stand for the savage apartheid regime enslave another group of human beings on this planet? If we do, then we are saying Cyrus was mistaken freeing them, NO?
Comments: Shahryar jan, Thanks for the note and the spreading of hope for our TM! Positive thoughts have proven to work in this universe of ours. One question that comes to my mind is that whether or not, CQ can balance his defensive minded strategist with a bit of offensive tactical plans to get us that edge needed to push us through. Do you see that in him? Can he overcome the shortcomings of the last 2 WC in achieving that task?
Comments: Our Freestyle wrestling team is deciding what to do. They are kind of goozpeech The question is should Yazdani wrestle against Israeli tomorrow. What do you guys think? I think we should just do it and crush the Jew boy. |
