Zinsky,

I agree; Korea right now is playing with so much focus and dedication and commitment. I saw TM do that during every game in 2018; but this year, they are different, at lest during the first game.

Here is what I see the reasons for that:

1) First and foremost reason (as I suspected weeks ago), is the events in the homeland, but even worse than that is the behavior of stupid so - called Iran "fans" calling them all sort of names;

2) CQ only working with TM for past 8 weeks or so;

3) Biranvand's early injury and concussion that took us out mentally ...; I was watching the England team practicing and keeping warm with the ball during the 15-minute injury time, while our players just standing around, doing nothing..., of course they were worried abut their goalie, but that showed lack of focus on the game;

 
I certainly hope we step up tomorrow against Wales. Loss of Biranvand is devastating, but we know now that he cannot play; so no surprises. We should be prepared for it. Also, Wales is on a euphoria, happy about Bales' PK against US; so we should take advantage of that.

It’s hard to watch Korea, Japan or even KSA play the way they do and compare it to Iran. I’m not talking about results which are obviously important. I’m talking about the style, the confidence, the accuracy and planning.
It’s obviously not the talent as we do have talented players. It’s mainly the team work.
And no, I’m not talking about this WC alone. Yes, we are underperforming duo to political issues but in general, TM is just not a complete team.
