Comments: Well said Faramarz; our TM players and CQ definitely deserve this...; no one else deserves this win more than these bunch of hard-working men that out out their hearts every minute. And thanks LOL for the wonderful pictures.
Comments: The players always have loved CQ. He cares so much for them. This has been the behind the scene story in all the last three world cups.
Comments: I know Sharyar jAn. My prediction was form the heart, but was not sure how the team would do in my mind. Very happy with the outcome!
Comments: I want to thank all my friends here, Shahryar, KAmkAr, Hamvatan, Zinsky, lol, Rashti (who I think is asleep :) ) for making this such a fun journey. I cannot say it enough that these players and CQ deserved this so badly. They have been under some immense unusual pressure from all sides. Some saying do not play and some saying do play. This group has been through a lot of turmoil. They do deserve to bask in the sun shine a bit for coming through in such a difficult time. As I have always said, whether you are hoping for the government to go or stay, you need to accomplish that on the streets of Iran, not on a football pitch. Do not put these players under a microscope for little to no consequence other than losing a football game.

Comments: Thanks to all Doostane gerami on this board that stayed on, regardless of the time of night!!! That is of course Faramarz, Zinsky, LOL, KAmkar, HAMVATAN, and all others who supported TM throughout this tournament so far.
Comments: LOL, what you said is most likely true; however, based on one of the scenarios I listed below, IRAN can still advance with a draw against USA. Although I have to say; why leave anything to chance and other game outcome...; we should simply beat this USA team (for the 2nd time), and qualify outright.

Comments: We can and should be magnanimous in victory, gentlemen. IRAN deserved to win this game. They were the dominant team from the starting whistle, scoring a goal early that was called off, and hitting the woodwork twice in 2nd half, before finally scoring the winner in the stoppage time, against the 10-man Wales team. Nicely done, IRAN!
Comments: Shahryar, the one sure thing is: Iran has to beat the USA and the USA has to beat Iran to advance. That is going to be one intense match!

You guys didn't even give Bale a chance to fall over in the box. Icey cool performance, and very incisive attacking and direct movement of the ball through the midfield. Really excellent.

Comments: LOL, Your scenario is certainly possible, and I can wish for that too :) A more realistic and achievable scenario is as follows: Game 2: England beats USA and gets 6 points and advances today (USA with 1 point, still) Game 3: England already advanced, will tie Wales and gets 7 points and in 1st place (Wales with 2 points, and gets eliminated; because...) either a) IRAN beats USA and gets 6 points and advances in 2nd place (USA still with only 1 point and gets eliminated) or b) IRAN ties USA and gets 4 points and advances in 2nd place (USA with only 2 points gets eliminated)
