Shahryar jAn, had to go to a WHO meeting on tuberculosis. The situation is out of control while everyone pays attention to COVID. There is no easy cure or vaccine for TB.

I agree that Croatia finally ran out of steam...; Argentina played like everyone expected, for the first time in this World Cup. And when they do, they are nearly impossible to beat.

Ok guys, I am back from work finally. Faramarz, please check your email for updated scoresheet.

Daryuish and I got the most points from today's game, because of the win for Argentina and one of our scores was also right (I predicted 3-1 and Daryuish predicted 1-0). Several contestants got 5 points since they predicted the win by Argentina.

Daryuish is still in first place, and Zinsky in 2ns place. Parviz and I are tied for 3rd place!

Hello guys. I had a quick two day trip to Geneva and am now back. I missed the game today and am shocked at the result. I have to yet watch the game but did Croatia run out of gas after so many extended time and PK wins?

Agreed. As much as I want to blame the system (I really do for many reasons), we as a nation need a reboot as well.
We do need a new system of government as bad as we need food and water. I’m more hopeful that ever before.
On the other hand and while the young people back home risking their lives, the rest of us need to learn to get along and respect each other. Unfortunately, a divided community (inside or outside the country) is prime for systems such as IRI.

I am not going to defend CQ. He was appointed 2 months before the WC with sooooooooooo many issues inside Iran. I understand why he was the best choice but under the circumstances, I would not expect him or any coach to perform. This team was doomed before the games started. One can't expect any team to perform nearly 80% of their capabilities under attack by all sides, from fans to media, ...

TM performed about 70%, maybe less. Under normal circumstances, they had a good chance of advancing but this was not the time.

As I said before, we can blame the coach or individual players, but this was not a team that could play in WC level.  

It doesn't matter now. If Iran was a normal country, they would start the process for the next WC today, but we are talking about Iran, so....
