Comments: Interesting comments regarding Brazil by LOL. I am not sure there is a conspiracy; in fact I am sure there isn't. It is the fact of life that no other nation has more of its players play in other countries than Brazil. The reasons behind it are very simple: 1) Brazil has some of the most talented players in the world (individual skill and charisma) 2) Brazil is a very poor country and they can't afford to keep such talents inside their country. As a result, their players mostly play in Europe, as LOL said.
Comments: RIP indeed; for one of the greatest players who ever played this beautiful game. I seem to vaguely remember (too young), that Pele and Santos visited Iran to play a couple of friendly games. Does anyone else remember that?
Comments: The 1970 Brazil team was made up of all domestic players, none played overseas. The Brazil national team of today has lost it's football identity. All their stars play in EU and coached by managers who play a European style of football not what these players grew up playing in their native land. They can not get together now and play the Brazilian style once every 2-4 years! Which is why they are looking for a EU manager for their team, they know their players can not transition from club football EU style to the Brazilian Samba just for WC. Maybe it's all a conspiracy against Brazil!
Comments: Very sad news about Pele. He is by far the most famous and popular football player ever, relatively speaking. He was known all over the world when there was no social media or internet. Heck it was hardly any TVs around the world when he got started back in the 1950s. He played his entire football for one club Santos in Brazil, of course he did the Cosmos thing in NY too. He never got the $100M contract and the exposure the stars get today but still he was one of the most famous and well known man all over the world. Amazing man when you look at him in his own time and space. RIP.
