Comments: I was attacked on the other site for “allegedly” supporting the regime because I didn’t want America or any country attack or orchestrate an attack in Iran. America doesn’t have a strong record on helping Middle Eastern countries become independent or free. I was also for the 1st nuclear agreement between Iran and the big boys around the world. I made the argument that it would help average Iranian back home. None of these are supporting the regime. I do want a change but not by all means. That is my opinion. There are people here who support the regime. I don’t believe Faramarz is one of them. Once again, my opinion…

Comments: Mashti khaan which part of what Faramarz's post was supportive of the regime? I actually think that he did not go far enough. I would also add the generational gap to the list. There is a big gap between the younger people in iran and the older generation here.

Comments: Faramarz. It is not cultural. It is political. This regime has always been against people of iran and we all know it. I am not accusing you. I am just jotting what comes across as reality. You have sympathy with this regime and you not even condemning once the brutality and the killing of our young children by these murderers is a testament to it. And the problem is that you actually see this regime as a legit government whereas many of us on this page see bunch of dozd, ekhtlasgar, and mafia types of individuals who only care about filling their own pocket running the country and dictating a miserable of life for majority of Iranian people. I have been quiet and respectful of the page but in spirit and respect of many youngsters who lost their lives I cannot be respectful to those who defend this regime and have sympathy towards them. As rashti khan and Zinsky khan mentioned put a vote together if people want any part of this regime. Then you see. It is not cultural. It is political. People of iran want the end of this murderous regime. Death to Islamic Republic of iran. And lots of hopes for future democratic Republic of iran. Comments: Because these issues are so existential for some, the arguments and challenges are driven by the most radical members of each corner. IMO the very large majority in the middle is not represented by what is being hurled out by any side.
Comments: Again, dametoon garm ke discussion is civilized. I think this is the most important topic that the current times demand, if we can discuss them in a civil manner and reach conclusions. In my opinion, even though individual opinions need to be respected, what the future governments of Iran needs to ensure is that all opinions are protected, the will of majority is imposed, while the rights of minorities protected. Right now Iran is at a difficult stage. We have a cultural revolution embedded in a political one. Disentangling these from one another is not going to be easy. Here are some goals the some people have for this movement: 1. Separation of state from religion 2. Abolishing of faith all togethr 3. Abolishing atheism all together The list is long but these are the top hopes, depending who you talk to as they describe the ideal future. Most of these are cultural rather than political. Embedded in there as a prerequisite for many of these goals is the change in the system as a whole. So, the political change IMO is also, knowingly or unknowingly, is used as a tool to reach these ideals. So, it is not about a "simple" matter of changing the government or preserving it. It is also about maintaining the culture or change it.

Comments: I’m not a lawyer nor do I pretend to be but these are logical arguments. Shahanshahi and Capitalism were not voted by anyone. I’m not saying that is better or worse but reality. When you have a vote for anything, you are obligated to have it again and again. No vote is forever. And finally, it is absolutely the wrong assumption that whomever is against IRI or asking for a new vote is pro USA or Israel or any other country or group.
