Comments: Iran plans permanent break from global internet, say activists
Comments: Iran airspace is open again. I see a bunch of Air China, and even BA flying from Heathrow to Hydarabad over Iran
Comments: I know Zinsky. It seems like politicians on both sides, when they get mad at each other, they take it out on the people. I think it is a good thing that you are not going to Iran. Enjoy Turkey for now. Let's see how things work out back home.

Comments: Turkey is fine but that was not my plan. I still try to make a trip out of it but I really wanted to go home. My mom and sister are very worried about what could come next in the next few days/weeks. They asked me to delay my trip back home which I am doing. It’s a shame that we can’t even enjoy what is left from our homeland. This blackout is also gone for too long!
Comments: Zinsky how is Turkey?
Comments: Well said Reza.
Comments: History not learned, is history repeated. She does make great points about what happened in early part of 79 revolution. Case in point, my father n his friends who were mostly in Judiciary or attorneys wanted Shah gone due to deep state corruption he fostered, they never wanted an Islamic rule, guess what they got sucked into the slogan, “ let’s get rid of Shah, whatever comes next we can decide later” - within 6 months of Khomanie taking power my father n his friends were first isolated and later jailed for their political beliefs

Comments: I am serious. Here is my reasoning: The problem is not Trump or any other individual. It is with the institution and by that I mean the greater institution that includes the USA system but also includes the compliant Europe. The problem with this institution is that it goes around and takes whatever resources it needs through creating havoc around the world. As long as this is only being done to the middle east and South America, the rest of the world sits down and says nothing. Don't you think it is time that some of is dished out at Europe? Yes, it would be ideal if the USA institution did not do that but for how long are we going to wait for the institution to not do this? This is not going to happen. They need raw resources and capitalism needs to take it from somewhere. So, why not Europe? It is time.
Comments: 😂 Why in green earth would U support that shit??
Comments: I have to say that as a staunch opposition to Trump, if he invades Greenland, he will have won me over. I fully, 100%, support this invasion. And I am not being sarcastic. I think this is exactly what should be done. If he does this, I will vote for a third term for him.
Comments: Complete communication darkness in Iran still. No internet, no landline no sat communication. This time whatever tool they are using is quite effective. Even StarLink is fucked
Comments: Every day that passes the chance of military intervention wanes. IR played their hand masterfully so far, and dodged a big fucking bullet. IMHO, they will take the appeasement route with orange buffoon since it works best and will wait out his term. Just my thinking here. Also don’t forget if this happens, IR has long memory and they will have no qualm retaliating against all those who went on social media and asked for head of IR
Comments: Iran is not a single pyramid with one man at the apex. It is a heterarchical, networked state: Overlapping hubs of power around the Supreme Leader’s office, the Revolutionary Guards, intelligence organs, clerical gatekeepers, and a patronage economy. In such a system, removing one node, even the most symbolic one, does not reliably collapse the structure; redundancy and substitute chains of command are a design feature. Decapitation – a prominent narrative after US President Donald Trump’s tactical “success” in Venezuela – thus looks less like a strategy and more like a gamble on chaos. This is why Trump’s dilemma matters. He sits between neoconservative hawks who want regime change by force and an America First base that will not support lengthy wars, post-conflict stabilisation, or another Middle Eastern adventure. The instinct, therefore, is quick-in, quick-out punishment that looks decisive without creating obligations.
