Comments: Persepolis won yesterday with a Torabi goal in minute 80. I would say that at this point, Sepahan has the tougher schedule since they have to play a team that is at the cusp of being relegated. They will do their best not to get relegated.

Comments: Shahryar jan. Could not agree more. There are people who are waiting for an opportunity. Opportunity of power. I do agree we need a true Irani who sleeps Irani, eats Irani, sees Irani. Well said.
But what do we do until then? We cannot just sit idle and have these murderers have a field day. This is not a legit government، just a few thieves who are masters of pillage. We know anyone, even the one we all trust on this page, Ali Daei cannot do anything because of how the regime brutally reacts.
The only vocal person in iran is the Sunni cleric Molavi Abdolhamid who is calling it as is. They do not touch him but as a revenge the are killing young baloochis left and right.
So the question become Shahryar jan. What shall we do? What can Iranians in iran do? What can Iranians outside iran do? Sitting and waiting and doing nothing is the worst scenario.
Agha Farid I am not looking for validation, alignment or support. We all have our differences and not interested in getting in any personal discussions. Yes Keefer is in a totally different zone with his pro regime posts. But that is his right too. As I said if you have not committed a crime, the rest does not matter.

Comments: Interesting discussion guys. I said before that I could not see aligning myself with Keefer, but in time as I get to know people here. I am also having a hard time aligning myself with Observer. I want to make sure that Observer does not interpret my message as an agreement with him.
To be honest, as I read the posts, I find myself aligned the most with Zinsky and Shahryar.

If I misunderstood you, Agha Observer, I apologize.
As mentioned before, I want a regime that thinks and cares about Iranians, and a leader who cares about our country, like Mosadegh was. I do not see anyone these days among the "known" celebrities. Those who kiss the West's and Israel's asses, getting some Photo Ops in their holy sites, are not the right people.
We need a true Irani who thinks, eats, sleeps Irani and bleeds Irani. When Is see one, i will let you doostan know. Until then, anyone else is an opportunist, who wants to make a name for himself/herself and does not deserve the label of "Leader of Iran".

Comments: Agha Shahryar i think my message was taken wrongly. I was talking on that same wavelength as Agha Zinsky when he said by his count there are 4 people on the page in favor of regime change against 1 (Keefer).
And I gave my count based on what I read. I only said Faramarz is against regime change but did not accuse him of being pro regime or Hezbollahi like many others do.
I said that only because Faramarz repeatedly said that the current issue in Iran is cultural and not political and since it is not political why would we use regime change as excuse.
So there is a big difference between someone like Faramarz not wanting regime change versus for example Keefer. Keefer is blunt and not shy about it.

Comments: I’m not sure what is the business model for clubs in Iran. The only real source of income is to develop a player and sell him to European clubs. All other sources of income teams in the rest of the world enjoy don’t exist in Iran. Of course that is my understanding. I’ve been wrong before!!!

Comments: Thank you guys. Keep it civil and ignore pests.
Persepolis seems to be the front runner for the title. Nothing is set but they have the edge.
Taj was doing so well but lost their chances.
I still think Sepahan is the best team this year and could win it all.

Comments: Observer,
to continue.., I urge you and everyone else to be as fair as possible. As mentioned on numerous times, this is the Gentlemen's Board, and unlike the other side, where people can claim whatever they want , lie and deceive to try to make their feeble and inaccurate points across, we all tell the truth.
As an Observer, one has to be observant. If you or anyone else read the same comments I have from Faramarz, would have no choice but to conclude that he too wishes the best for Iran and Iranian people, which includes seeing a better government in the future of Iran. By stating that he does not, implies someone may have other hidden agendas, not unlike Iran's, USA's or Israel's governments. If so, they we are no different than those whom we criticize. It also diminishes one's credibility when after reading the same posts by Faramarz as the rest of us do, you conclude something totally different.
Perhaps you were remembering things different, and once you do, you can set the records straight. You certainly deserve that, just like everyone else.

Comments: Agha Observer Aziz,
Thanks for your comments. I agree with you that pretty much everyone on this Board wishes the best for Iranian people, and also agree that the current regime does not seem to have that goal as part of their main agenda, which is unfortunate. In fact they have exhibited the same behavior more or less during the past 40 years plus. at times, they care more for Palestinians than Iranians.
I am the first one to complain about and be sad about Palestinian's plight and the atrocities that Israel committed on those poor people and continues to do so. But our government should worry about Iran and Iranians first, before anyone else, regardless of their beliefs.

Comments: There is one important consideration that I want to point out about the poll that Zinsky ran though:
No one other than Zinsky could have done the poll. We live in a political spectrum. This page (and its extensions) is no different, as we have all seen. No one from extreme corners of this spectrum would be respected to run such a poll with broad participation. It takes someone like Zinsky who is outspoken but also reasonable, and observes boundaries carefully to draw participation. Our political scene in the country is very similar.
Our challenge is: Who is the Zinsky of our country? :) Who can execute and draw broad participation (the majority, not everyone) without being called biased in one way or another. I fear that we do not have anyone. This is the biggest problem on the path to 1) change the current government, or 2) if the votes indicate it, provide some legitimacy to the current regime.
