Xi tells Trump that mishandling of Taiwan could lead to 'dangerous' place

BEIJING, May 14 (Reuters) - China's President Xi Jinping warned U.S. President Donald Trump on Thursday that mishandling the countries' disagreements over Taiwan could push China-U.S. relations to "a very dangerous place," as the two leaders met for a closely watched summit.
Xi's remarks on Taiwan, the democratically governed island claimed by Beijing, came in a closed-door meeting of the leaders of the world's two largest economies that ran more than two ‌hours, China's foreign ministry said.

The biggest shitshow is how Trump hides the truth to make himself look good. China's statement says it all. They were very blunt about warning USA to stay out of Taiwan in their post-meeting report. China is emboldened by US' failure in Iran and all the weaknesses in its military and its backer (military industrial complex) that have been exposed. On teh other hand, the USA's report says nothing about Taiwan. Just hiding the stern warnings. America not great again? ANGA? Or Make America Weak Again (MAWA)? I like MAWA better! ANGA also sounds pretty cool. It sounds like a petulant child crying. I don't know. U guys pick.

Iran blockade seems to be holding steady or was this a false flag operation. I do not put it past the UAE MFs to sink their own ship! A ship was seized off UAE and another sunk. The seized ship off UAE appears to be IRGC's doing. I am not sure about the sunk ship though.

"It wasn’t immediately clear who was behind these incidents, but they happened as a senior Iranian official reiterated his country’s claim of control over the waterway and another said it had a right to seize oil tankers connected to the U.S."

So, no more Trump blockade but IRI protocol stands? Or did they find a way to bypass the weak Trump blockade?

IRGC says dozens of ships including Chinese-owned passed through the Strait of Hormuz through the Iranian Protocol!

Posted on X - interesting read
A point of utter embarrassment and shame for many Iranians is the manner in which elements of the diaspora danced on the streets in Western capitals as bombs rained on Tehran. It is also a source for a lot of anger among Iranians in Iran who oppose the theocracy but nevertheless did not favor war and who are stunned to see some in the Diaspora being so indifferent to the suffering caused by the war.
But there is another aspect that deserves closer scrutiny.
These, almost exclusively pro-Shah elements of the Diaspora, did not dance to celebrate the downfall of the regime. They didn't dance because they had won.
They simply danced because the war had started, nothing more.
As if their goal was neither freedom nor democracy, but simply revenge and the pleasure they took from seeing Iran bombed.
Had they danced after the theocracy had fallen (which it hasn't), it would be a bit different. It would be a moment where they could argue that the price was very high, but because the regime is defeated, it was worth it, and, as a result, a cause for celebration.
But they didn't wait for the regime to fall. They danced right away.
Signalling that the cost was worth it, EVEN IF the regime didn't fall. Because it was always about selfish revenge, not freedom.

First game with NZ in LA  is at 6PM local time, cheapest ticket is now going for at least $410, we paid $140 for ours!

Second game with BEL in LA  is like NFL, it starts at freaking 12PM local time, cheapest ticket is now going for $350, we paid $180 for ours!

Maybe we should just sell the tickets and take an all-inclusive vacation to Mexico and watch it on Mexican TV [biggrin]

French President Emmanuel Macron was slapped by his wife during a foreign trip last year after she found a steamy message from a younger actress on his phone, according to sensational claims in a new book.
Brigitte Macron’s viral attack on her husband — which was caught on cameras — was a result of the steamy messages allegedly sent between her former student, 48, and Iranian-born Golshifteh Farahani, 42, journalist Florian Tardif claimed in an interview with RTL France.

The Trump administration will exempt football fans from 50 countries subject to a $15,000 (£11,000) visa deposit requirement, provided they are travelling to the US for the World Cup with valid match tickets.

President Trump said, before arriving Wednesday in China, that he expected a "long talk" with President Xi Jinping about the Iran war. He said the U.S. doesn't "need any help" from Beijing in resolving the 75-day conflict that has slammed the global economy.
With diplomatic efforts for a peace deal seemingly stalled, an Iranian commander says military drills in Tehran have demonstrated the Islamic Republic's readiness to confront a potential new U.S. attack "at any place and at any time."
The Iran war has cost U.S. taxpayers $29 billion so far, acting Pentagon comptroller Jules Hurst told lawmakers on Tuesday. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth had put a $25 billion price tag on it last month, but U.S. officials familiar with internal assessments suggested at the time the war could already have cost close to $50 billion.

What a shit show this WC is becoming. Mexico and Canada are making final preparations while US is acting like a bitch and giving the potential fans a hard time getting visa and entering the country. “Random” (sure!!!) fans are ask to jump through hoops to get visa and be prepared to answer questions at the airport regarding their stand on Israel!!! They will have to show the officers at the airport their social media accounts and email/texts!
If I wasn’t living here, I wouldn’t travel here! There are reports of hotel cancellations and many rooms reserved for the WC fans are staying vacant. Tickets are going to get cheaper as the true international fans probably won’t show up. Stadiums will likely fill up but I believe mostly will be local fans who don’t need a visa, don’t need to travel nor worried about accommodations.
I understand IRI still want to send TM to US. If I were them, I would boycott the games a week or so before it starts. This WC will be uglier than before for TM and anyone who cares for football.
I, personally, are going to watch the games from the comfort of my home. Don’t have the desire or the will to get into BS political arguments with fellow Iranians or any possible rednecks that might show up to the stadium or the sports bar!
