Comments: News here is biased also. But man I have seen some "funky" news from the USA. When it comes to propaganda USA really takes the prize. No shame!

Comments: LOL at Faramarz Khan's comment about the "rigged" contest. Agha Realist; you are 100% correct. I haven't watched "news" ever since 9/11. Most of us know what exactly happened at 9/11 and how it was portrayed completely different from reality. Iraq war was exactly the same. At that point I remember seeing statistics that 87% of Americans believed Sadam was stock-piling WMD, and of course we all know it was a complete fabrication by everyone at US government. Today's coverage is no different. In fact, it is worse, since they learned their lessons from earlier and are not making the same stupid mistakes.
Comments: واقعا اسرائیل بعد از سه روز مهماتش تمام شد؟ ![]() WASHINGTON (AP) — The U.S. has already begun delivering critically needed munitions and military equipment to Israel, the White House said Monday, as the Pentagon reviews its inventories to see what else can be sent quickly to boost its ally in the three-day-old war with Hamas. https://www.yahoo.com/news/us-raises-death-toll-9-131001914.html
Comments: Shahryar jAn good to see you around. Hope all is well. In your absence, Zinsky ran a rigged prediction contest and nearly won it!
Comments: of all of them PBS pisses me off the most because they pretend to be independent. But both after 911 and now, they basically become pentagon's/most distasteful american figures' cheerleaders!
Comments: Agha Shahryar I give them 1% truth because most of the time they get the names and titles of places or people right, that's it! Watching corporate news is passe. It's all controlled and it's full of propaganda and lies on most subjects! In the past 10-20 years thanks to the widespread coverage of the internet and social media platforms other sources of news are emerging and informing people who want to hear the real news. Here is one example of it just out about the current situation.
Comments: I have to be honest in that I have not watched news on any channels since this whole thing started. Ridiculous propaganda, even on NPR and pbs!!
Comments: Former Israeli soccer player Lior Asulin was among the more than 260 people killed by Hamas militants at dawn Saturday in the final hours of Supernova, an all-night outdoor music festival held in Israel two miles from the Gaza border.

Comments: Zinsky, That has been obvious to most of us thinking folks for a long time. Do you remember Bolton, from a few administrations ago? He always wanted to invade Iran, but could not because they are so scared of Iran's military power. Also, they all benefit mutually from this. Agha Realist, You are being way too generous with your allocation to media's "Truth"; I do not believe there is even 1% truth there. My take is; 100% lies and 100% propaganda. Yes, it does add up to still 100% :)
Comments: I mentioned this before that American and Western media coverage on Iran is made of 69% lies, 30% propaganda and 1% truth. That's how you should evaluate the coverage. As far as the current situation the Apartheid regime is still hot from the wound they have received. They are confused and can not even make any rational decision other than blindly bombing civilians. Once they cool down and start really feeling the pain of the wound they will become more rational. Americans are tired of paying for wars that does not matter to them whether it's in Ukraine or the Middle East. They will give as much verbal support as they can to the Apartheiders but will not take any real action. They might privately be even happy about the actions of the Resistance groups. The bottom line is the Apartheid regime has been exposed and it's invincible image shattered for good. They have to make a decision to accept the new paradigm or go down the path of incremental collapse.
Comments: Shahryar, They are surely trying to get Iran involved. A war with iran will be a disaster for all.
Comments: Doostane aziz, do not waste your time to watch American TV for anything that remotely resembles the truth about what is going on in the middle east. The propaganda machine is on on full-speed. The last time everyone was brought into this level was post 9/11, when everyone was told to buy in what we give you and do not question anything. So, do not watch or listen to any of that propaganda; it is pure nonsense with only one goal in mind; to make people want to attack Lebanon and Iran. same as it was all those years ago, when Iraq was pretty much destroyed.
Comments: Netanyahu is drawing the US into war with Iran The Israeli prime minister’s persistent obsession with the Islamic Republic may finally drag the US into another disastrous regional war. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has spent the past three decades sounding the alarm about Iran’s nuclear programme and threatening to attack the country on countless occasions. Most recently in September, he said in a speech to the United Nations General Assembly that Tehran must face a “credible nuclear threat” before his office corrected the record to “credible military threat”. After Hamas’s attack on October 7, Netanyahu may finally be able to act on his threats. The gruesome scenes in southern Israel have provided the Israeli prime minister with the necessary pretext and international backing for a wider response. Netanyahu has both a political and a personal stake in all this. A drawn-out regional conflict would block or at least postpone any official accountability for his utter failure to prevent Hamas’s attack from happening in the first place and could also put his multiple indictments on corruption charges on an indefinite hold. Overnight, he transformed from a failed and embattled prime minister to a wartime leader, with opposition parties clamouring to join him in a national unity government. He declared war and ordered an immediate retaliation against Hamas’s stronghold in Gaza. The Israeli army unleashed a vicious campaign of bombardment on the overpopulated Gaza Strip, killing more than 500 people, and preparing for a potential land invasion. Netanyahu has not elaborated on the next phases of the war, but he has received the unconditional support of Western governments to do what it takes, as long as it takes, to “defend Israel”. The administration of US President Joe Biden has gone even further, providing Israel with more arms and ammunition, dispatching its most modern and sophisticated aircraft carrier, the Ford, along with a number of destroyers to the Eastern Mediterranean, and beefing up other forces stationed in the region, enough to start World War III.
Comments: It’s so hard to watch American TV coverage of this war. 100% propaganda and bias. No mention of suffering of the other side.
Comments: Maghsoud jAn dastet dard nakone! I will read the article tonight. Sounds like a fun one to read!
Comments: It is not the count. Zinsky's posts are informative and appreciated by everyone, unlike some other posts that are merely meant to disrespect, smear, or label people.
Comments: The best part is the Iranian diaspora actually helping propagate the myth that IRI was the active agent behind the scene. How naive n stupid can you be? No wonder US used to play Iran like a fiddle. IRI had an open fight with Hamas when the ISIS fighters attack Iranian senate building since they sided with ISIS (verifiable fact). They turned their back to them by calling them kaafar. |
