Comments: Former Defense Secretary Mark Esper said to defeat the militant Palestinian group Hamas fully, Iran must be confronted “once and for all.” “[T]o ultimately defeat Hamas, in the extent that we understand it [in] military terms, you have to prevent their ability to reconstitute their military forces,” Esper said in a Thursday interview on CBS. “To do that, that means you have to deal with Iran once and for all,” Esper continued. “You have to cut off the supply of arms and money and other support. And that’s the bigger issue that we’re not facing.” At the beginning of last month, U.S. deputy national security adviser Jonathan Finer said Iran was “broadly complicit” in the attack by Hamas that began its current war with Israel. He noted the U.S. rival’s efforts to train and provide Hamas with arms. “In terms of broad complicity, we are very clear about a role for Iran,” Finer told CBS. “What we have not seen yet at this moment, although we are continuing to look at it very closely, is any sort of direct involvement in the immediate attacks.”

Comments: Based on the highlights of Uzbek game that Zinsky posted, I feel they aer not as strong as I remember them. Their game looked more like a "Pickup Game", than a professional FIFA game. As a result, I am going to revise my estimate, that Iran will beat them 3-0 next Tuesday.

Comments: We could have scored 6+ goals. HK was very weak. Our team seemed unorganized and rushing the attack. For whatever reason, our team has a problem with offside. It’s not really too difficult but Azmoun and Taremi kept getting caught 2-3 feet offside, not inches. At one point 2 players trying to scissor kick at the same time, hitting each other!!! I will look for Uzbekistan game to see if they are any good.

Comments: 1. Great to see Saradr back in shape. 2. I can't tell whether it was because HK was so weak or that our attack was so khar too khar and without a plan. But players running into each other, Taremi not getting fed, are not good signs. Some one should tell the reporter that football is only an entertainment if you get to play it. If you beat HK with a million goals but do not qualify or qualify and take in three goals in every game and a quick out will be much worse that winning 1-0 and compete against Argentinas and Spains.
Comments: Thanks Zinsky. I searched for it under You Tube, but could not find it  Good results for Iran, although it could have been many more goals for us. The first game is a bit disorganized and people are trying to get to know each other again. We will do better. I expect a 2-0 win over Uzbekistan (maybe 1-0).
