Comments: The result means Luis Castro’s side cannot be overtaken at the summit by second placed Persepolis with one round of matches remaining after Al Nassr held on to take a point despite Ali Lajami’s sending off in the 17th minute. Al Nassr move onto 13 points from five games with Persepolis five points behind and the result also means that Al Duhail have been eliminated after the Qatari side had knocked Istiklol out of the competition earlier in the day. The Iranians can still take one of the three best runners-up spots available in the last 16 when they take on Al Duhail in the final group game on December 5. Despite missing the competition’s leading scorer Anderson Talisca, Al Nassr were pushing for an early opener when Cristiano Ronaldo went down in the area under a challenge from Soroush Rafiei but the prospect of a penalty was ruled out following a VAR check. Aymeric Laporte sent his weak header into the arms of Alireza Beiranvand a quarter of an hour into the game while moments later Al Nassr were reduced to 10 men when Lajami was shown the red card for his reckless studs-up challenge on Milad Sarlak. With a man advantage Persepolis increased the pressure with Mehdi Torabi shooting wide in the 24th minute before Al Nassr regrouped and Ronaldo smashed a long range attempt high and wide as the game moved into injury time at the end of the first half. Persepolis did have the ball in the net eight minutes into the second half when Shahab Zahdei struck from close range, but that effort was ruled to be offside, while Nawaf Al Aqidi parried Sarlak’s effort to safety a minute later. Ronaldo then bent his effort narrowly wide of Beiranvand’s left post as the game approached the hour mark before the Portuguese was substituted after suffering a neck injury earlier in the second half. Persepolis saw injury time attempts from Giorgi Gvelesiani and Danial Esmaeilifar fail to break the deadlock as Al Nassr saw off the Iranian side’s late push to advance.

Comments: I thought it was not very good for Kasr to kick in RezaeiAn's ball when it was going in anyway. That goal should have been for RezaeiAn. https://youtu.be/TvHUZFbLN9U?si=WVyfcDRZhBxCYQeR

Comments: I did not see the game, but it looks like the goal was called offside, unless there was another goal that did not make the highlights.
