Comments: Majid, Israel is a great country . I was there for my training. Don’t worry, just enjoy!
Comments: ISIS should have trademarked its name. There seems to be multiple groups who go with that name these days. In all reality, anyone can call themselves whatever they want when causing terror. Why don’t they come up with something else?
Comments: Majid, I have been to Israel for work. It's a shock for anyone going from the US or Iran to go there. It's a true "police state", you will see heavily armed people anywhere you go, even in the public toilets! I felt uncomfortable all the time. The only comparable situation I can recall was the few days right after 9/11 when we had armed National Guards at airports, and other sensitive areas in the US. I went with my US passport and got it stamped, don't even carry your Iranian passport with you if you go there. And try to relax and not show any anxiety, that could be dangerous to your health, they will quiz you very rudely at the airport arrival. If you don't like going to a 'police state' then tell Intel to send someone else and be honest about why you don't feel comfortable traveling to such a place!
Comments: I’m truly amazed how much people dig through other’s shit. I have a hard time dealing with my own!
Comments: “ if people stop digging through other people’s shit, they would not be surprised when people hold their nose like they smell like shit”
Comments: Majid the information you got is good. I am actually surprised that she volunteered information about how to travel to Israel. I think the not stamping the passport is also a thing. I have heard that too. The important thing is that the Iranian passport is not valid for traveling to Israel. So, as long as that is not your travel document, you are okay.

Comments: There are so many massages from my family and friends in Iran talking about the election coming up in Iran. Lots of information about how the regime is trying to steal the election and use fake names to show large participation. I did ask them as well but want to hear from friends here. Does IRI actually care how many people vote? Do they actually count the votes? Knowing IRI, they can just say what they want. They can say 60 million people voted! Who/how is that going to be disputed?
Comments: Majid, I’ve never been to Israel, so I can’t give any advice. The explanation you got makes sense but again, you will never know for sure when leaving Iran.
Comments: I work for a semiconductor company and our company is establishing a foundry and a wafer fab in Haifa, Israel. As a senior manager of acquisition and integration, I have been asked and have to travel to Israel. Has anyone experienced anything similar? Will there be consequences if I ever go to Iran. I called Iran interest section of Pakistan embassy and the woman on the phone told me that I am not allowed to travel to Israel with Iranian Passport but with American passport I can and there is no problem. I asked her if this will cause any problems in iran. She said it should not because in Iran entry or exit authorities only check the Iranian passport and American passport are only checked by Airlines as verification of visa for the destination traveling to. She also told me that many people in similar situation ask Israel police not to stamp the passport and they do it. She said many Iranians travel to Israel from their work in USA and there were never any problems.

Comments: Faramarz, I know!😜 We were given lots of advice when younger but we didn’t listen. We need to understand that if we didn’t listen to our parents, our kids wouldn’t do it either. I stopped giving advice to my kids after high school unless they specifically asked for it. I still want to do it but learned to keep my mouth shut!!!🤫 I am working hard to listen more and talk less. Not easy but doing my best.
Comments: Zinsky, some of them are really hard to do. for example, having the responsibility of my whole family on my shoulders for decades now, it is hard to not automatically jump in to help, to not feel that I should have done things differently when something goes wrong, etc. From everything that I have observed, I realize that had there been less of an age difference between me and my parents, had I had children sooner, I would have understood my parents much much sooner. I used to get mad when my parents offered me food in my own home. I still do with my mom. I would raise my independence flag and act like she has no business in deciding what I eat or drink at such an advanced age! Now I see that I am doing the same exact think to my kids who are now grown and have college degrees. I wish I could have developed a better understanding for my parents sooner. Now I also see why my mom wanted me to get married very young. I am doing the same thing to my kids, in response to which, I get the middle finger, just like I did. I wish we had these perspectives sooner. Looking back, how much difference would it have made to give much higher tips? It would not have made any difference in my financial standing now.
Comments: Faramarz, I’m very much where you are as well. I don’t think I have mastered most of them but getting closer and closer each day. I realize how all this is making me less angry and more happy.
Comments: Zinsky jAn, mamnoon for sharing. I see these in me already:
1. Working on this but not quite there yet 2. Also working on this-not mastered it yet: I have realized that I am not “Atlas”. The world does not rest on my shoulders. 3. I am there: I have stopped bargaining with vegetable & fruit vendors. A few pennies more is not going to break me, but it might help the poor fellow save for his daughter’s school fees. 4. I am there (unless the waitress pisses me off 5. Almost there: I stopped telling the elderly that they've already told that story many times. The story makes them walk down memory lane & relive their past. 6. Almost there: I have learned not to correct people even when I know they are wrong. The onus of making everyone perfect is not on me. Peace is more precious than perfection. 7. I am there: I give compliments freely & generously. Compliments are a mood enhancer not only for the recipient, but also for me. And a small tip for the recipient of a compliment, never, NEVER turn it down, just say "Thank You.” 8. Got there long time ago: I have learned not to bother about a crease or a spot on my shirt. Personality speaks louder than appearances. 9. Not there 10. Not there (working on it): I remain cool when someone plays dirty to outrun me in the rat race. I am not a rat & neither am I in any race. 11. I am there: I am learning not to be embarrassed by my emotions. It’s my emotions that make me human. 12. almost there: I have learned that it's better to drop the ego than to break a relationship. My ego will keep me aloof, whereas with relationships, I will never be alone. 13. Definitely not there 14. Trying
Comments: Now that I have past 60, I’m working hard to avoid couple of things that were bothering me before. I’m still not there but getting there. 1- Stop worrying about what others think about me. I try to be nice and respectful and the rest is up to others. I can’t change me for them. I don’t expect them to change for me either. I just don’t mind things as much as I did before. 2- Stop trying to teach people my values. Religion and culture have been telling many of us that we are responsible to “fix” others even more than ourselves. No only we give unwanted advice to anyone we see, we get mad if they don’t do what we believe is right. Time to live and let live. I’m only responsible for my own life. Be caring, loving and respectful but don’t try to make anyone else be that way…
Comments: Such wise observations and approach to life. I see many of them in myself. ![]() ![]()
